so im doing my photography assignment for school (yr 11) and was wondering what u guys thought of my work so far.. we have to have 3 shots, 1 has to be digital, 1 has to be analog, and the 3rd can be either 1. and 1 of the shots has to be a self portrait. i decided to do 2 digital. so yea heres what i have so far:
friend of mine from school, his names Shaun:
and heres the 'self portrait'. and yes, that is my eye
the one of my friend was just a quick 2 min job, and im probably gonna spend alot more time on it. my eye was approx 3 hrs of fiddling around with to get it how i want it, and now i think it needs to have the 'pupil' in it, so i might spend some more time on it, but ill just get your thoughts first, to see what my next course of action should be _________________

Wow, I prefer the first picture, even if you did spend much more time on the second. _________________

The second picture, I agree, needs a pupil. It's also an interesting design. I don't know a huge amount of Photoshop but for the first image I knew what had been used to manipulate it, for the second I'm less sure.
Without having the program available to me to check the filter options I'd say maybe some sharpen, then either noise or the filter that dulls out the quality (can't remember for the life of me the name, it could be called anti-alias but I think that one gives a slightly different effect, and I could also be remembering AA from FCP not PS).
Anyhoo, they're both nicely done and I'd be interested to see how you work with the analog image. A friend of mine is really into doing postmodern (if that's even a style of photography, I dunno, but it should be) imagery with analog technology.

lol, thank you sin . for the eye, first i got the clone stamp tool, and replaced the whites and pupil with skin from the rest of ym face. then i did some filters (cant remember which sorry ) then i changed the hue/saturation levels, to make it red or something (again i cant remember) and then i went crazy with the burn tool to get how much of the eye i want in there, then i used colour balance to get the greenish/blueish effect. there was alot more to it, that i did at school, but thats about all i can remember from what i did at home _________________

The second image looks like a portrait of a brain with a beret on. Or it could just be my medication kicking in.
