For those of you anaware, the inital release of GTA 3 allowed solicitation of prostitutes. Due to the prudish nature of our OFLC, GTA 3 was subsequently banned and then re-released without said solicitation. I found it interesting to note that despite the initial furore that arose, the backseat dance is alive and well in Liberty City Stories. Good times... Good times...  Eagerly awaiting Bully by the way.

iirc, it wasn't the prostitution that irked the OFLC, but the way you could hire them, have your way, and then beat them up and get your money back.
i might be wrong though.
i did also think it was weird how Vice City, and San Andreas were passed with the same deal though.
all in all though, i rate this thread Random/10.

Yea well in my versions you can cuz I got them all from New Zealand (specifically for this reason). Also my GTA: III has different cover art which is actually better but looks a little out of place (cuz all 3 aussie versions had that comic strip cover with all the different characters).
I HATE the OFLC! They've always caused hassels for me.

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOO.
I can still remember when all that shit hit the fan I was going to imort it from NZ also. I ended up buying a friend's copy but yeah importing from NZ was all the talk back then.

Jim, unlike most other people, Obs -IS- a dead ringer in real life for PRC.
