Seeing as i couldn't find a thread dedicated to just Xbox 360 games and related stuff I thought i'd make a new thread.
So to kick things off,the Chromehounds demo is available now for download.
It is 554.89MB in size also.
I have been waiting ages to see how this game plays out.I'm a HUGE fan of mech based games and loved armoured core to bits.I just hope that it has good playablilty and is not too slow.
*if a thread like this exists can a mod move it plz*
I couldn't find a general 360 thread using the search function so....ummm...yeahh.. _________________

Actually, this thread is probably a good idea. I am a tad dissapointed with the current 360 release lists though- not many games I am intrested in...

I've just started downloading the demo now, it's going pretty slow though, must be a lot of people downloading it.
Prey should be out in a couple of weeks, that looks pretty good, I've downloaded the demo on PC but it doesn't run too well on my current system, but it's getting upgraded on Monday
I've read that the demo is pretty good though, but you're right, not a lot else at the moment.
Gives me a chance to try and save for a PS3. _________________

I was gonna start a 360 thread (to counter the multitude of Wii threads more than anything else) but this'll suffice. GENERAL 360 TALK AHOY.
Also thanks for the heads up. Chromehounds didn't look that great in screenshots, but after checking the video preview over at gamespot, the game looks pretty damn cool. It'll be nice to try out.
In order to counter the waning playtime of my 360, I also went and picked up Burnout Revenge. Nowhere as realistic as PGR, but infinately more enjoyable. _________________

Notice Xbox 360 threads contain minimal fanboys? Loving it!!
I havn't d/l the chromehound demo yet, I'm not that interested. I might later on when I get your thoughts on it.
I d/l the Hitman demo and that didn't impress me too much. Prey is the next big thing on my list.

I played Ridge Racer 6 online today for the first time. Everybody was super friendly, it was cool. Good game, I like it. _________________

Hmm, can't say I am too impressed with the Chromehounds demo. There is nothing wrong with it graphically or technically. What I do have a problem with is the slooow speed of the mechs and bland environments/objectives.
I have to say I am disappointed with from software seeing that they can make awesome mech games like Armored core.Maybe this was a 'test' for the AC360 engine.
Blows my mind how they went wrong with this game, although I have only seen the demo.Hopefully in the full game you will be able to kit out your mechs in some tank tracks and jet propulsion, hovercraft base even.
Now to wait and see how the 360 version of Prey pans out.
Wonder if the demo will come out before OR after the full release is ...well released. _________________

yeah cool a 360 thread! i have just bought my 360, i got rockstar table tennis for it, cause it was the only game i could afford at the time. its all right, i kinda end up just using the one button (topspin), so gets a bit boring. i've subsribed to xbox live, but my internet speed's not the fastest so when i play online i experience massive lag, making it virtually impossible even to win a point. but i'm currently investigating upgrading my service. if anyones interested my tag is - xth666.

My Chromehounds demo finished downloading a little while ago but I've got to go to work so I won't get a chance till tomorrow. I'm going to try installing the Prey demo on one of the computers at work to see what it's like. (one advantage to working nights) _________________

Our work computer has 128mb ram and onboard gfx.I'm taking an educated guess that your work computers are........better.......then ours. _________________

Considering my computer is a dull Dell laptop, I don't have the 'power' to do anything. Very frustrating.
I think I'm gonna make the switch to Apple, and launch this laptop at the wall.
Yes, I think i'll do that..

Chromehounds was awful and boring. The graphics are bland and mech are as. I really didn't enjoy this demo and found it highly dissapointing cause I was hoping this game was going to be good. Hopefully the retail version is a LOT better. _________________ Shin J Leon.

Most of them are the same, but a couple in the office are new and have seperate graphics cards, nothing too special though, but I just found out, because I'm not a system administrator that I can't install software .
As for the Chromehounds demo, I doubt too much will change, most demos on Live are basically the same as the final release version as far as graphics go. I'll be giving it a go tomorrow, I've never been a huge fan of mech games, but it could be fun. _________________

As this is a 'all things 360' thread, I think one of my most antisipated things about the 360 is the upcoming directX 10. When Vista and dx10 is released it means a couple of cool things to Xbox360 owners 1. we will be able to play on live with pc gamers 2. new controllers will be natively supported by the 360 if they are dx10 compatible.

Iv'e actually been bringing in my 360 to work for the last couple of days (very slow week)
Nismo: I have seen some newer screen shots for TDU and they look way better than what the graphics on the demo do, so I think it will be more polished by the time it gets released.

You really need to bring your 360 over here some time too.
Yeah, I expected as such really. Especially considering the amount of times it was/has been delayed. I'm expecting a new trailer for it soon and I don't think it will be moving from its current September 29th release date. Oh damn how I can't wait for that date to arrive. _________________

Ahh, that explains it. Damn - yet again screwed because my Xbox Live account is American.
This is the second demo (the first was Burnout Revenge) that I am aware of that was available for download off Live here in Oz, but not on the US version of Live.
Both games are/were ones I was really looking forward to. _________________ GAMEparents

The short answer is "I don't know" because I don't have an Australian Live account. So I only find out about the stuff I'm missing when you guys post about it.
I can list what's on the marketplace at the moment and you can tell me if it's got extra? _________________ GAMEparents

Battlefield 2:MC
Burnout revenge
Call of duty 2
Chromehounds
Condemmned
Moto GP '06
Lost planet
Test drive:unlimited
Fight night 3
Full auto
G.R.A.W
Hitman:bloodmoney
Kameo
Madden NFL '06
NBA live '06
NFS:Most wanted
Perfect dark zero
PGR 3
Quake 4
Rumble roses double X
The outfit
Tiger woods PGA tour '06
Tomb raider:legend
Top spin 2
Also a Top spin 2 "wimbledon edition" just has been released.Dunno what the difference is but seems they have scrapped the first TS demo.Downloading now to see what the difference is.
EDIT: stopped the top spin wimbledon edition demo from downloading, looks similar to TS but is 3MB larger than the previous demo. Can't justify the 491MB download.
That's all the demos we have in AUS. _________________

Really? All that? Man, am really missing out.
We have six in the "All Game Demos" section:
Battlefield 2: MC
Blazing Angels
Kameo
MotoGP 06
PGR 3
Rumble Roses Double X
Interestingly, the Top Spin Wimbledon demo is in the New Demo Releases but not in the All Game Demos list.
---
We have other game downloads for addons and stuff, but that's it for demos. I have tried previously to convert my account to an Australian one but after spending two hours on the phone with the support team in the US, it was decided that it couldn't be done. _________________ GAMEparents

Well at least you get the blazing angels demo,I have been wanting to try that out for a while.
AND 6 DEMOS!?!?!?! that is all WTH?!? that's nuts.
That seems really bizarre that we get 26 demos to your 6.Seems really unfair, unless the official Xbox 360 magazine is really prevalent over there and want people to buy the mag for the demos as opposed to just downloading it.That's the only reason I can see why they would do such a thing. _________________

Yeah, the same demos which are available for download...ZUH?!
Magazine sales in the US are huge so it could be that if the demos are all available for download, would lead to a decline in the mag sales.I dunno.
All I know is that in business all these aspects would be looked into many times. _________________
