Seems to conflict with EA's dedication to it's very own NFS series. I guess it won't matter too much as EA'll get the money either way if someone chooses Fast and Furious over the next/current NFS.

How ridiculous is that. NFS is Fast and the Furious in game-form. What new stuff can the latter bring to a game? _________________

Looking on a more positive side to this news, maybe this publishing deal that EA is doing suggests that EA no longer want to pursue the 'Underground' aspect of the Need for Speed franchise?
I certainly hope so. The Underground series was a nice change but really, NFS needs the cops and I really think Most Wanted nailed what we as gamers should expect from a Need for Speed title. Here's hoping Need for Speed: Carbon (of which we know nothing about) follows a similar path to that of Most Wanted... _________________

Yeah, Most Wanted was a great game and everything, but there i think there is no real need to create a Fast and the Furious when they are already doin the same thing with NFS. It will be interesting to see what EA does to keep it different from NFS and i just don't hope it ends up like this:

I havent played NFS most wanted, I never got back to the series after Underground 1, I think it was the lack of cops and I never got into the nitro racing much, that was what sort of steered me away from NFS UG 1, But I think with some nice chases, could be a good game. Not tokyo drift but "said" next edition NFS.
Im not a big fan of EA at all which is another reason I havent tried any NFS since UG1, That said it would be great If they could introduce some burnout style crash system to the game _________________
