I can't wait to hear a release date for Gears of War. It looks so good, I've watched all the gameplay videos I can find, and crave some more. I just hope it's not overhyped.

Nope, you're not overhyped. This game will rock.
Then again, I went into our little play session at e3 with anything but high hopes; more like the complete opposite. I was expecting just another run-of-the-mill shooter without much else going for it. Ok, so maybe that's exactly what it was, but that doesn't explain why it was so much fun to play.
In that regard, it's no wonder why I'm praising it so greatly. But to you guys that have always had these high hopes for the game, I guess I can't really say whether you are over-hyping it or not. Just know that it's solid, and for the moment, multiplayer is where it's at. Of course, give me a little time with the single player campaign, and I might be singing a different tune.
There are some pretty amazing screens there too btw.
If that's what the 360 can do, just imagine what the PS3 will give us!!

FPS? I thought Gear of Wars is a 3rd person shooter? I hope I'm still right cause FPS is not my cup of tea.
