^ heh..

I guess this motion sensing addition is a fair trade for the rumble, but I guarantee there won't be that much innovation with it.

If they said that the Rumble interferes with sensory technology... Then how the hell does the Wiimote and X360 have rumble then?

If Sony put all their efforts to flog off their competition and design a console that doesn't fit it's components inside the current case, then how the hell do we think that we'll get a better controller since last versions?

Then again, the stealing was expected, considering they stole the small analogue stick from the N64.

I take my words back, there are anolog trigger buttons, L2 & R2.
As for vibration, the only time I'll miss the vibration is when playing MGS

Since when does the X360 have sonsory technology? And since when does the Wiimote have rumble?

Think about it. If the controller were to respond to movement, what do you think would happen if you were shake the controller as though it were rumbling?

Redesigned?! Save for the lower triggers, it's hardly changed at all... unless they mean re-designed from the boomerang concept.

Just lame.

Did anyone ever see any hands-on impressions about the boomerang one? It looks like it would be more comfortable to hold than chunky here.

The Wii remote has had rumble from the beginning, unless they've stated contrary to the first announcements of the remote. I don't think Eyce was saying the 360 controller has sensory, just the fact that it's wireless and still has rumble.

I can see rumble being used to great effect in FPS games, they no longer have to program in recoil for weapons, it's just there, or there may be some sort of sensitivity settings so that it's less sensitive to the rumbles? Dunno really.

i haven't seen anything saying one way or the other that the wii-mote had force feedback, i just assumed if it was there, it'd be in the nunchuck/offhand device since, as Sony has said in the statement, it would interfere with the motion sensor mechanics.

Oooh! Look at those little light indicators, 1, 2, 3, 4.... hmmm, are we seeing 4 player support for the PS3? That would be great, as TV's big enough to have 4 players in Split screen without them being blind are becoming more common now.

Since Nintendo is bringing out a traditional-style controller 'cradle' for the Wii-mote, wouldn't that effectively render the PS3 controller completely obselete? From what I've heard, it would work just like a Wavebird but with the addition of the Wii-motes sensors

Well going back to the question Eyce asked.....cuz it was something I was gonna ask myself untill I realised that the Xbox doesn't have motion sensor technology....so the 360 controller can include rumble without worrying about disrupting the effects of the motion sensor.

The thing with the Wiimote?! I thought it did have a rumble fetaure on the actual remote and not on the add ons?! I could be wrong but if they wanna simulate a fishing rod, a golf club etc....well it would be more realistic to have rumble then wouldn't it?! Maybe Nintendo's tech is a bit more advanced and can support motion sensory tech and rumble simultaneously than what sony were able to conjure up in the last couple of days before E3?! Just a thought....

Good to see that Sony stick to the original design. The only disappointment is no trigger buttons.

Have a closer look, they look a lot like triggers to me.

I mean analog triggers, like the Z button on N64, LR or XBox

Only analogue part of the N64 controller was the control stick, the Z-Trigger was a digital button.

And seriously, have a look, the L2 and R2 buttons look analogue....

Nintendo don't have HD. Microsoft doesn't have Motion-sensetivity. Sony don't have rumble. Which disadvantage actually hampers gameplay? They might as well replace the controller with a mouse and keyboard and make the anti-gamepad people happy.

Sega didn't have money, and that was the deciding factor. The closest company to being in that position is Sony.

Oh, and Sony don't have motion sensitivity either, it's just tilt control (like Warioware Twisted).

Microsoft isn't going anywhere!

Not the chages I expected to Sony's controller, I can't believe they didn't change the shape. Not that I ever had a problem with the dual shock or anything though.

I'm looking at the motion sensor as a bit of a bonus, but think losing rumble will hurt. After all these years with rumble technology, and the latest doesn't have it?
