Yeah, good stuff Luke. I never realised how expensive the 360 was if you want the full experience.
You've got the;
Premium Pack @ $650
Extra Controller @ $80
Play and Charge Kit @ $35
Headset @ $50
Xbox LIVE subscription @ $100
a game to play @ $100
which equals around $1k!
And don't get me started on the cost of a HDTV
btw, love the picture on the main page _________________

After playing many of those titles at a few Xbox 360 demo stations, it's just pretty graphics. Well, sort of. But, then again, that's what most of the advertisment surrounding these demo station in currently trying to drive home to the consumer: the added extra levels of realism created from the console. Nothing more, nothing less. _________________

Remember the first time you played Mario 64 and you just ran around and around amazed at the graphic and level of control. That's what we want from a new console. Or playing Tekken 2 and being amazed that a arcade 3D game was possible at home!
Now it's not really going to happen from Sony and M$, unless you count super eye-toy enchancments or video link up gaming. Perhaps Nintendo will make as feel all happy inside again.
But as a technophile, the HD revolution and 360 will do for now... _________________ Shin J Leon.

The Xbox 360 headset has the volume and mute controls built into it, whereas the Xbox one had those controls on the part that plugged into the controller.
If you get the 360 headset, you have control over the volume and easy access to a mute button, whereas with the Xbox one you won't have that. _________________ 75WHM/SMN or BLM Subs - Rank 8 Windurst

If you're getting the Live Starter Kit then you don't need to buy a seperate headset - it comes with one.

Cost too much, and no good games... I'll wait until PS3 & Revolution release, then the price will definitely drop

Plus if you want to go on live you need the network adaptor at $160.

Hard people to please.
COD2, Kameo and Oblivion are very good products for a launch lineup.
The only missing genre (in the main) is JRPGs really.
If your buying a console for JRPGs just keep the PS2 and wait for the PS3.
MS annoucned more to come:
2006 FIFA World Cup (EA SPORTS)
Battlefield 2: Modern Combat (Electronic Arts)
Blazing Angles Squadrons of WWII (Ubisoft)
Dynasty Warriors 5 Empires (KOEI)
Far Cry Instincts Predator (Ubisoft)
FINAL FANTASY XI (Square Enix, Inc.)
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (Ubisoft)
Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend (Eidos)
The Lord of the Rings The Battle for Middle Earth II (Electronic Arts)
The Outfit (THQ)
Top Spin 2 (2K Sports)
Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis (Rockstar Games)
Rumble Roses XX (Konami)
X-Men: The Official Game (Activision)
Football Manager (Sega)
Moto GP 2006 (THQ)
Test Drive Unlimited (Atari)
One that isn't on the list that really impresses me is Prey.
Anyway I'm not getting one of these boxes for a few months yet. Few other priorities up the food chain.

Only if you want Wireless, the Xbox/Xbox 360 ain't no PS2, the network card built in. Also I found out a couple of days ago, you don't need a crossover cable for system link or any of the other stuff anymore.

Ah, no you don't. Just blug the cable into the back of the unit and you're done.

Interesting, no? I've pre-ordered from there for the full amount, so they better fix that up.
