What are the most or is the most powerful moments in the Star Wars saga in your opinion?
For me the most powerful moment of all the films is this scene in Return of the Jedi:
Vader looks down at Luke while he's being electrocuted by force lightning, then to the Emperor then back to Luke and in the final moment he lifts the Emperor off the ground and throws him into the tunnel.
Of course whenever I hear the Force, Luke or Yoda's themes I get chills down my spine.

Imperial March.
when the Executor is flying over the Imperial Class Star Destroyers at the beginning of TESB in much the same way as the ISD flew over the Tantive IV in ANH, that was something awe-inspiring. _________________

Easy.
"Luke, I am your Father."
"Nooooooo!!!!"
kinda echo how pathetic the "Noooooo!!!" made Vader in EpIII.
BTW Obs, how old were you when Star Wars came out?
Well, I meant did you see it in the cinemas? _________________

i was -3 when a New Hope was released, 4 months and 1 day old for ESB and almost 3 yrs, 6 months old for RotJ.
i apparently saw RotJ in cinemas on it's initial run, although i can only vaguely remember the experience (i remember the cinema building more than seeing the movie).
i was one of those people who doesn't remember ever not knowing that Vader is Luke's Father, that Luke and Leia are siblings, that Yoda is the little green guy in the swamp or that Han will be rescued from Carbonite freezing.
my parents, on the other hand, can remember the distress each of those things caused some viewers when they were revealed.
i would've loved to have been around in those times. _________________

Episode V cannot be beaten with the "I am your father" scene.
Episode III I thought had a pretty emotional moment. Where Anakin was waiting in the Jedi Council Chambers, Mace had gone to arrest Palpatine, and Anakin was just staring out, wondering if he's doing the right thing or not, and it also constantly pans to Padme and back. The scene was extremely well lit, and the music was just chilling. Very emotional moment to me. Most of the other parts were s**t in any emotional factor though, but that part did it for me.
Edit: Oh yeah, Ep III scene where all the Jedi are double-crossed and eradicated. Freaking goosebumps all over when that happened. Incredibly powerful scene. _________________

I get emotional with Yoda towards the end because I know he's going into exile. When the Yoda theme comes up it only re-enforces this.
I get emotional in ROTJ too when he dies as he's my favourite character.
The one thing I've realised is that the music is powerful and the images are powerful even on their own. They don't need to be experienced combined together to give me chills down my spine.

John Williams Musical score really sets the scene for the SW movies IMO, I think that's what takes out the main emotional factor for me. _________________

Episode IV ANH
- The beginning of the movie when the Star Destroyer goes after Princess Leaia's starship.
- *will add more when I think of it *
Episode V TESB
- The Empire's AT's attacking the Rebel Hoth base. The whole scene is well executed.
- The black Super Star Destroyer flying languidly through a battalion of Star Destroyers. Its so ominous.
- Leia telling Hans that she loved him and he replied "I know" and he gets encased in carbonite.
- Vader telling Luke "I'm your father"
- The final shot before the Rebel forces warp into hyperspace Luke and Leia stare through the window; we know we'll see them again in Episode VI.
Episode VI - ROTJ
- The final duel between Vader and Luke.
- Vader helping his son by killing the Emperor.
- The entire battle scene to destroy the Death Star II.
- The Super Star Destroyer plumetting like a knife into the Death Star. _________________

In Revenge of the Sith when Sidious fights the Jedi and then later when he fights Yoda. Espcially when Yoda and Sidious rise up into the Republic Senet Area and when Sidious gets his deformed face. _________________

When Anakin and clone troops march upon the jedi temple.
That overhead view is great, the imperial march is playing and as you see anakin walk from left to right you see the (almost) never ending and imposing lineup of troops following him.
In ep 1 as well, when qui-gon is battling maul by himself and obi can only help but watch......the part where you know qui-gon is out of his league, when maul quickly spins his bo in front of qui-gon(you know that part....) and you see , for the very first time, fear in qui gon, you see the doubt in his eyes.
And then more quick battling takes place and in a split second qui-gon makes one wrong move and BAM, gets a light bo right through him.And obi screams out and and then looks at maul with so much anger and hate.......and then you know it is ON!

^ yes, which is why resurrecting Maul for Eps 2 and 3 would've made more sense than Tyrannus (Dooku).
he needn't even have died in Ep1, imo, but merely beaten (lost a limb?) by Obiwan and made a return later.
he does actually make a return of sorts in the Star Wars Visions comics, which are most definately not cannon, but rather little "What If?" stories set in the SW universe, this particular one was Maul instead of Grievous in Ep3, Maul had droid legs which were very reminiscent of Grievous'. _________________

^ Was was that Comic called?
I read the "What if" a.k.a Infinities of 4, 5 & 6. Not too bad.
Vader with a white suit was abit off imo. _________________

"We need? What about you need"
That whole exchange in the tunnels on Hoth....amazing. It still stands out as the best-written part of all six movies. _________________

You know where the robot is turned upside down and is having his feet burnt in that torture chamber thing.
I felt so sad for it when I first saw that part....
Was that in ROTJ or TESB? sheez been ages since seeing those films. _________________
