Simple, been looking around for Play-Asia & I saw some game soundtracks.
Anyone own any Video Game Soundtracks? Good bad? Opinions on these CD's? _________________

I own my fair share of official ones and of course some that aren't official too (shhh). Put simply if you enjoyed the music while playing the game/s then you will enjoy them in soundtrack form too. Also keep an eye out for added albums too such as The Black Mages (I and II) or the Final Fantasy Piano Collections. These are usually bloody brilliant too.
I would personally recommend any Final Fantasy soundtrack, any Zelda one, Metroid of course and Beyond Good and Evil's soundtrack too. _________________

i bought the Gran Turismo 1 and 2 albums when they were released, but of course, that's licenced music, not score.
does Quake count?
if you don't know, many games used to be Audio CDs, with the Game on track 1, and the score on the rest. Quake 1 and 2 were 2 that i love listening to (NIN did Q1, Rob Zombie and Sonic Mayhem did Q2). _________________

I don't own/have any game soundtracks baring Mario Bros theme tune ringtone. However I wish I owned Halo and Halo 2 soundtracks (they don't ship to Australia), that music is awesome.

When I did my stint at HMV last year, we got both Halo soundtracks in for a customer. If you are really serious about obtaining them, definately give HMV a call and see if they can hook you up.

I spent years tracking down REZ on vynyl.
Aside from that, (and the CD soundtrack) The Panzer Dragoon RPG Memorial album serve to remind my of my favourite gaming experiences.

The only video game soundtracks that are in my collection are the soundtrack to Deus Ex: Invisible War, Rocket Arena 3, SSX 3, Driv3r and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. As for the soundtracks in general, the music for Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and SSX 3 are just perfect, considering the style of the games.

If you like RPG soundtracks the best that I can recommend you is;
- Chrono Cross
- Xenogears
- Final Fantasy X
- Final Fantasy IX
- Final Fantasy VIII
- Final Fantasy VII
There are others from other games such as;
- Gran Turismo (I preferred OST's from series no.1 and no. 4)
- Silent Hill (all 4 series's OST's are good. You can never go wrong with Akira Yamaoka) _________________

Ah yes, that's another very important OST (OSTs if you include the other two games as well) to own. Silly me for forgetting about it. Love my copy of the MGS 3 one.

Fairly badly, but I'm fairly anti-social ( ) so didn't even think about asking for people to order them in.
Anyone know if the Incubus in the Halo 2 credits is the Australian band or some American band of the same name? </fanboy>

I like a lot of the ones from SNEs games, they're classics. e.g. Yoshi's Island, Mario World. _________________

Better add the Halo: Original Soundtrack and Halo 2: Original Soundtrack and New Music - Volume One as well. Got to love HMV. Now, all that's left to look for is the Killer 7 soundtrack.

I stumbled upon Game Music today if anyone is interested. I haven't used the site yet as I have always gotten my OSTs elsewhere but this site has a nice range of soundtracks. I think I am blind too as I couldn't find the payment options page.
Yeah, check it out if you're interested. _________________

Just dug up my copy of the Killer Instinct soundtrack. Such good memories. Then, there's my Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas soundtrack. That introduction DVD sure has a few funny moments. _________________

The one soundtrack I really want to get ahold of is "Eternal Arcadia" (aka: Skies of Arcadia), its really quite rare, but the music is excellent, and I would really like to add it to my collection.
I'd also probably get the Tales of the Abyss soundtrack when it's released in Japan (And I have enough money to import it) _________________
