Well that's only about 2 months (if it was early Feb). But yeah, it missed Xmas.

Wind Waker US: 24th March 2003
Wind Waker PAL 3rd May 2003
5 1/2 weeks later - still pretty good.
Thought I should fix this though:
| David wrote: | | Sony have probably been the worst to PAL - AFAIK no PS2 games have ever been properly convetred to 50Hz, and most 60Hz options run in NTSC colour, which is worse then a PAL60 option. And many, many major games got huge delays (Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3, Shadow of the Colossus etc). |
Still true overall, but MGS 2 and 3 were actually Atari, so that's not Sony's fault.

Meh, I don't mind that it is delayed once again. I will get it when it releases, simple as that. Until then however I can always just play OOT or Majora's Mask for my Zelda fixes. Wind Waker too if my friend ever gives the damn thing back.
Nintendo are probably being smart actually, releasing it in November when I am sure there will be other reasonably big titles to compete with. _________________

Said this before they are using it as a launch title for the Revolution.
Sure it will run on a GC but it more likely be the catalyst to drive Revolution sales. I also suspect Nintendo will be short on Rvolution launch titles so this would be very handy but we won't know until E3 at the earliest.
Typical Nintendo style unfortunately. You either like it or hate it or don't care (I'm in this camp).

Yes, and that's why I plan to sell my GameCube soon. There are no games I plan to purchase for the console besides Zelda and considering I've waited this long for the game I'm sure I can wait between the time the game is released and when the console is released - if indeed it still is a GameCube title.
Doesn't really worry me at all. Being the major Zelda fan I am I've done well to not even hear anything about how the game is progressing, so this news of a delay doesn't really concern me. But when a game receives so many delays you'd expect it to be really damn good, and I hope this is the case for Twilight Princess, since there has been a lot of build-up for this title.
Perhaps Twilight Princess will win PALGN's most anticipated title for 2007 if this continues.

Mark, your gamecube is not worth the carbon it's made from. someone could buy a brand new console for $70. Maybe someone will pay 20 bucks for it.
I can wait for this game. There's no rush.

its annoying for me - only because i'll be used to high res graphics from the xbox360, and to go back to low res stuff will be awkward.
wasnt a big fan of wind waker - im hoping this one will turn the zelda franchise around.

To say that the game has been delayed again isn't exactly fair. Nintendo never gave anyone any kind of idea of when the title would be out, they simply stated they'd announce a concrete date after the close of their fiscal year.
This led many to assume that it would be released around April/June/July. It honestly doesn't surprise me that we're looking at a September-November release date. _________________

maybe "twilight" refers to the stage of life the princess will be in when the game is finally released.
huzzah for delayed joke timing! _________________

I would have sold my Gamecube a couple of years ago, but I would have made more money selling used Weetbix. _________________

If they release it at the same time as the Rev, it might be a bit hard to afford. I'd get the Rev first if that is the case. We sure have to be patient with this game.. _________________

I'll hold out of the Zelda/Revolution bundle with the limited edition triforce controller and Master Sword attachments...
Mark my words... it could happen. _________________

if i were the type of person to be in the market for this in the first place, and that was the case, i'd forego the console for this game instead.
i know Nintendo have a fairly decent track-record with launch titles, but at least this way you'd be guarenteed something good to play now (figuratively) instead of merely watching the console price drop while you wait for a decent game. _________________

That is f*cking awesome! I've never watched a single episode, but I know enough to consider that design as unreal. _________________
