It's a bit optomistic to start a thread at 6:20 AM and have people posting by 6:40, imo.

With that said, I got Nintendogs, played with it for a while, and then got a bit bored with it, doing the same thing over and over. It was the fact that you can only do a few things every hour. I'd get on it, want a gaming session for an hour or two, and not have anything to do after 15 minutes. Now I just can't really be bothered with it.

If we got another DS (not gonna happen anytime soon), I might whip it out again so my brother and I can quickly unlock some more breeds of dog, but it doesn't look promising.

I have two DS's so I can link up which is fun. It's does get old a bit fast, so I usually play it for a while, then stop and play again a few weeks later.

I'll just be repeating what everyone else said.

Bored within a day. On that note, anyone want to buy it off me?

It seems like a game that only holds the appeal with non-hardcore gamers. Casual gamers seem to be eating it up.

I actually really liked the game. I've unlocked all 20 dogs, got 3 of every toy/equiptment things and bought the most expensive house model. I played for ages since I got it on its US release, and only stopped playing it reguarly around a month ago. So, yeah I really got my moneys worth out of it.

I have actual dogs to keep me occupied. The graphics in that game are much more realistic.

I played it religiously for about a month and then more games came out and it rarely has room in between Animal Crossing and Mario and Luigi anymore

Looking after them can take an age! Those dogs can be pretty tricky. While we're on the subject, can we discuss trainer points/rankings? I have 14250 or so trainer points and I'm a star handler. Would anyone care to share their trainer stats?

I just checked - I have 46 990 trainer points and I'm a 'Charismatic Tamer'. As I mentioned earlier, I don't play the game much any more, as I've unlocked everything anf beaten everything except the Obidence trial on the hardest setting.

Yes, I have played a bit too much Nintendogs icon_razz.gif But I enjoyd it, so alls good.

Got sick of it after a week and lent it to a friend. It was fun but I ran out of things to do. Just doing those same things all the time got boring.

Nice work Qbert! I wish I was that good. Oh well, I've moved onto other stuff lately. My latest game is Shenmue 2 on DC which is great!

If you haven't had any offers thus far, save it for my DS mate. I'll take it.

I imported it when the American release was done, about 3 days later. Got it on the first of September, and played it literally every day until November. Haven't played since, on of my girlfriends is currently caring for a Dalmation in the game. icon_razz.gif

looks like it's declining. A lot of people seem to have bought it, but now we're all tired of it really. That's the downside. A selling point is the voice recognition, I reckon, which is very cool.

This game is not intended for hard core gamers, its aimed at a different audience. So for the majority of people on this site, the game will not appeal to them. I actually find it boring, but my little sister who is 10, loves it. She has a bond with her puppy, watching her play makes me realise that the game is a success. but as I said, its a puppy simulation, and its not for everybody.. End of the day we must look at its sales figures, which are huge.

True, you make a good point there. I start to wonder whether it was worth the money, though. I spent $100 on getting 2 versions. seems a bit of a waste. i mostly got it becasue of all the hype and looking at vidoes/screentshots of it.
