I'm on the hunt for some decent launch bundles, and I'm sure I'm not alone.
Kmart/Target and their associated stores seem to give you a free USB drive memory stick and a $1000 of discount vouchers for pre orders. I'm sure those vouchers will be pretty useless, though.
Dicksmith.com.au has a console + GUN pack for $650, which is basically the game for free.
...And that's all I know of. Anyone seen any bundles at Toys R Us yet? Or anywhere else?

EB in Centrepoint tower, Sydney gives you a free 360 game (of your choice from all available) if you pre-order and pick up at their launch event. They also told me that they have more titles than anyone else at launch due to some special deal, but everything they told me is scheduled for launch on our lists.

At EB in SA when you pre-order you could buy the VIP Premiere pack, which is Perfect Dark Zero, a wireless controller and a different (ugly) faceplate. It was $150.
The Console is $650 and they're doing a midnight launch.

dam eb in melbourne better step up to the plate with something, they told me they havent decided yet if dicksmith is giving a game (gun) away for free, i am not walking out of that shop without a free game i tell you!!! hehehe then i have some thing to play till burnot comes out yes a super plan indeed good thread people!!!

Turns out the Dicksmith GUN offer was for the first 50 web customers only.
Harvey Norman have a backpack and vouchers offer, with the vouchers which all have to be used in March consisting of:
- 30% off accessories
- 20% off Live starter kit
- 30% off 360 bags
- $20 off a Rockstar, 2k 360 game
- $20 off a Ubisoft 360 game
- $20 off an EA 360 game
- $20 off an Activision game
Not bad, but all in March? Meh.
EB are apparently doing some VIP card, where each month there will be a special. Probably along the lines of $30 off a game no one wants, which will bring it to the same price as the department stores.
JB Hi Fi are working on some bundles, apparently. No further info.
Big W are giving away a free bag and $10 off your first game. This will probably be my deal of choice, thanks to 5% Woolworths staff discount. Although, I wouldn't actually expect to get one on launch day from these gits.

I asked the guys at my local eb what they were doing, and they have that discount card. It lasts for six month and is only on select games. I think the first game was one of those WWII flight sims- something i am not planning on getting. In my opinion it sounds completley useless... I am gonna go with Harvey Norman because i get $20 off Elder Scrolls 4 becase of the 2k games discount voucher. Also i need a HD VGA cable and they are 30% off with a preorder.

I don't like pre-ordering I prefer to walk up on the day and pay cash, it makes me feel like a man!

Don't buy this console. Don't get desperate just because PS3 and Rev are taking a while. Sure it will be the most powerful console with the best graphics for a while, but that doesn't mean you should buy it. Don't let those fancy gameplay videos hypnotise you, I may be a Nintendo fan, but I'd much rather see someone buy a PS3 than a X360! This is simply because I hate to see people wasting their money on an inferior product. The PS3 will be way more powerful, have Blu-ray games, is smaller and lighter, and looks better. So if you must buy a super powerful console rather than the Rev, please make it a PS3.

Blu-Ray is at least 2 years away and it'll be at least $700 for just the drive when the PS3 comes out, it's doubtful the PS3 will have it, comparitivly the PS3 is just as powerful as the Xbox 360, Sony are bullshit artists the 360 is just as powerful ask Hideo Kojima (the maker of Metal Gear Solid) argee's and so do 90% of the media.
It's not smaller, nor lighter and it's not super-powerful. Don't make me bust out comparitive results of each console and graphs of their power. At least the Xbox 360 has soem in-game non pre-rendered gameplay videos and the PS3 has been Hyped up so much that the casual gamer (or the moronic gamer, ie. you) believe the bullshit Hype whihc has been aroud a decade.

i'm not calling out any one person or console followers, but if you start spouting rubbish (IMO), i'm going to delete them from now.
feel free to have an opinion on a console, but spouting stats or whatever purely to rile up people is what i'm talking about.
