same... Well I'm more than happy with the top 100, a good mix and games and judging by the scores they all got I'd say PALGN got a lot out of this.

i find the final compilation of all 100 games sadly lacking i can definately say that all games mentioned are (or have been) excellent games but there are alot of games which have been a number of games with No1. one best sellers, most anticipated, most played on line over the years that havnt even got a mention...

Yeah, mostlikly only because it was in Ralph. |
But the thing is they actually had some sensible choices - OoT was in the top 5, SMB was in the top 20, etc, etc.
When I generally think of these things I think of the top 5 being popular, recent games that the people reading it would buy without thinking they were gay. But with things like OoT having a high spot, it seems sort of sane.... then you get to 1.

Fantastic work Chris. I haven't cared about the order of the games. I've just been coming back to read your overview of each game, each of which has been top notch. Congratulations. _________________

Well done Chris. I've enjoyed all the games in the top 5 bar FF, as I've never had the chance to play it. Who cares if it was predictable, it was a great top 5 IMO.

Yah klobb for me too.
And to think i thought that was some kind of super gun when i first picked it up.
'WHOA a laser gun!!'
Seriously, it looks like the bulletrs fired by the klobb appear to be small orange laser shots, no other gun in the game shoots bullets with the same graphic as the klobb. And then i used it for a while and eventually made up my mind that 'lasers suck' lol
Ah just great times, great times.Oot fulfilled my single player needs for a square 3 months whole, AND actually, after all this freakin time, what......7(?) years i only just managed to see and capture the hyrule loach on my first re-play through of oot on gc.And i always thoguht he was a hoax......you have not completed oot until you capture that son of a bitch........what a slimy son of a bitch that loach is.
I'm very proud of you lot for not blocking zelda's destiny of the greatest game of all time, it deserves it.In fact, it has been voted number 1 so many times it should have it's position cemented in as number 1 so that any future top 100's a game can only hope to achieve number 2 ranking as the highest available.
What?
Oh yeah Capoeria homes!Palgn Staff.......no mention of this anywhere else, including the annoucements board....
Congrats to you to homie, i can't wait to see your resume review submission and all future reviews.I guess i'll have to pay you off as well to make sure i win the 100 great games contest _________________

Chris, really awesome work dude! To take that on by yourself and do such a comprehensive and quailty job of it is damn impressive. Maybe you should get one of those copies of gun!
The best thing about it was that it reminded me of so many good games that I've never played and games that I should play again! cheers...
now what about the 100 best arcade games... _________________ there was crack on the corner and someone dead and fire coming out of a monkeys head.....don't get lost in heaven

As much as it pains me to say it, yes that list was predictable. To be honest, I was expecting Goldeneye to be lower than Final Fantasy VII and maybe even Super Mario 64, but decent end to the 100 games anyway. I still personally hold Perfect Dark in higher regard than Goldeneye, but I can definitely understand why so many people love it dearly. I mean come on, it absolutely rocked harder than rock can itself. Or something.
My 're-arranged' top 5, based on these results:
1. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
2. Super Mario 64
3. Final Fantasy VII
4. Goldeneye
5. Resident Evil 4
Of course, the positions that these games are in would change if I was actually making my top game list, but as I said, this top 5 is based on these results.
Anyway, enough of my dribble. I will end on the same note as many others, by expressing gratitude of course!
THANKYOU CHRIS! _________________

'Now that the whole list is up I can say I've played 89 of these games, some for not very long though. .'
Yeesh, pretty impressive. Can anyone beat that? How many of them did you complete?
Oh, and thanks for the compliments, but I was also helped out by David, Jeremy and the other Chris, so thanks to them also.

That's what I read.
It says KLOBB in game monkeys (least that's what my memory tells me, KLO88 though, if that's right, it deffinitely doesn't deserve that rank ). The user manual, when has the user manual ever been more accurate than in game? And when has one ever been canonical anyway?
Pretty impressed with this list. Yah for FF7 not being second! Now if it could only lose 10 positions or so I'd be much happier, of course this list needs a lot of shifting around in general.
OoT number 1? I'd take Majora's Mask over it any day, although I guess not as many people played it with it's reliance on the expansion pack, especially late comers.
RE4, while it's classic I'd think it should be lower down on the list, it just seems too high, no matter how good it currently is percieved to be. Although I dare say in 3-4 years time I'll be annoyed when it hasn't beaten FF7 off with a stick. Along with Zelda 08 what with all it's amazing fishing mechanics - fish anywhere, even into Ganondorf's eye!

Excellent work guys!!
Well two of the top 5 were in mine ZOOT and Mario 64. Given the N64 was not really the console of choice for mainstream gamers I suppose it proves Ninty's mantra of quality over quantity. Mind you you had to wait that long between titles so I suppose you enjoyed them more.
Might have to get me Res Evil 4 now. Wasn't a fan of the first 2. Twice bitten I think the saying goes . Bad pun.

I really need to get around to buying RE4. I've been tempted a few times, but at the moment I'm playing on a 38cm mono TV so I've promised to hold off until the summer holidays when I'll be able to play on at least a 76cm TV with surround sound _________________

Quiet you! Chances are I won't be paying for this 86cm TV
I just counted and came up with about 45 games on that list that I've played. Most of which came from the top 50. _________________
