y is RE4 so expensive? $95 cheapest so far

excluding international online retailers, RE4 is so damn expensive and plus only a few retailers in WA have received the game. EB, Harvey Norman. JB Hifi, GameTraders and Kmart have it while Myer, Target, Toysrus, Bigw don't yet.

Res evil 4, was a game with high production values(that actually shows.....shock horror!) and most retailers sell the collectors edition only at the price point of $95 or so dollars, which i think is fair due to what i first said(it cost mo money to make it and they need to make mo money back) and the fact the collectors edition contains 2 discs(one purely a doco and various res evil trailers), +2 cases all in a cardboard case.

Thats why.

ahh i meant ps2 version. any of u seen the ps2 version in myer, target or bigw?

no i haven't seen any of them on ps2, but wasn't re4 released a long time ago. i remember hiring it from the video shop ages ago. i didn't really like it though.

Yeah, I know, I was joking about how old it was.

Apart from the major releases (your GTAs, Mario Karts and Halos), Myer, Big W etc don't get games very quickly. So it seems PS2 RE4 isn't being considered a major release - probably becasue it's a port.

Check ur Eb's and games wizards soon. Today i saw it for $78.84 and $79.95 respectively. We got it at Big W but we haven't put it out yet. It will cost $93.84 but if you give it a week or two, it may stoop as low as 84ish.

One of my mates got the Collector's Edition for $50 at JB - no shit. No doubt my local JB has it at RRP, so I'm going to have to make a long trip and hope it hasn't sold out once my exams are over.

DVDcrave.com.au have the collector's edition and standard edition for Gamecube. The standard is in the $80-90 range.

RE4 is $99.95 in the EB near where I live but I had it down for pre-order plus on that day to collect it; I traded in an old game of mine to bring it down a notch to $76.95.

Mine came with the Saddler's Saw's t-shirt which is cool.

At the moment, the JB Hi-Fi store is selling Resident Evil 4 on the Nintendo GameCube for around the $92 price mark.
