Fantastic! This is a very smart move on Sony's part. Anybody who picks up Shadow of the Colossus without knowing anything about ICO are definately going to want ICO. I guess there's no news on the pricing yet? I'm guessing it won't retail at the $99 mark, which sucks as I bought it for $112. Worth every cent. _________________

I've been hearing a budget price mark will be given to the game. Nothing confirmed yet though.

Picked up my LE copy of ICO off eBay in 2003 for $49.95, new and sealed. The guy had seven copies at that 'buy it now' price. I guess he didn't know how much they were worth.
I'm guessing they won't go all-out on the presentation of the title like the did with the original release.
Here's a pic of my copy, for those who haven't seen it:
I hope they have similar packaging for Shadow of the Colossus. _________________

I wonder if it will see any success being released so late in the ps2 lifecycle.......and AFTER the release of the 360.
These factors, coupled with the fact it doesnt have guns, or cars or bitches or a combination of all 3, I foresee it being overlooked.....unfortuanetely.........again by the majority of ps2 owners. _________________

I don't think there was a limited edition of Shadows of the Colossus in the US, not that that stops there being a euro LE. _________________ Playing: 30sec Hero, Scribblenauts, Dungeon Crawl

The only places that got the LE of ICO were PAL regions. _________________

Thats a good move by SE Inc to rerelease the game. This game is underrated; beautiful graphics at its time of release showcasing the PS2's processing power. Plus it has a mysterious story to boot with the endearing leads making their way out of the castle. _________________

Think I'll have to get this if I get the chance, would still be a long way off, so I'll wait and see!

Finally! Great move from Sony, I've been wanting this game for years, but it's near impossible to find. _________________

Some people have paid up to $250 for ICO. Does that tell you something?

No, it will be added to your collection.
Bronze, those pictures look familiar. Oh I know, because I have it too.

I still remember watching the intro to Ico while idly playing with the controller and realising I was changing the camera angle. So impressed it was realtime. I'm glad they did the same for Shadow of the Colossus, the cutscenes there still look awesome
I have the LE here, I didn't know I was sitting on an Ebay goldmine _________________ Playing: 30sec Hero, Scribblenauts, Dungeon Crawl

It better be budget priced! Why charge a premium price for an old game? $49.95 will the max i pay for it.
Sucks to be one of those who paid close to or over $100 for a used copy. _________________

Doesn't suck so much when the copy is brand new and sealed though. _________________

It might lose it's value actually, depending on how many Sony plan to release again. You can't help but laugh at some of the people who have spent $150 plus for this game on Ebay or through or second-hand traders though.

If I had a copy of Ico I'd be selling mine now to make a nice profit, just to get the game back next year for a cheaper price.
If it's cheap enough I might get it but I've already passed the game and dunno whether I would do it again...... _________________

Nah, I believe this will push the value of the Limited Edition Ico up, though the standard edition may go down. See, when Sony re-release this, there's about a 99.99% chance that they won't be releasing any more of the Limited Edition copies with art cards etc. Yet, the re-release of the game will raise greater awareness of the title's existence, meaning more people will learn of the Limited Edition and it's value.
So yea, my bet is the LE Ico will escalate in price.

There's no way in hell I'm selling my LE ICO. I actually don't feel at all bad about spending the amount I did for it, mainly because it is the Limited Edition, one that's in prime condition too. _________________

Yeah I can see how keeping an LE copy makes sense, but it'd be a real kick in the balls if the re-release is the same aas the LE. _________________

Mine cost about $120 (LE and sealed) and it has french box and instructions. Think that matters? Hell no!
Of course, I would have preferred the english box/instructions, but I prefer new and sealed to used and english. _________________

Even if they did release the LE edition with the cards and all, I wouldn't care. My sealed copy was purchased back when everyone believed it would never be on store shelves again so despite this re-release, it doesn't worry me. Plus, I didn't pay for mine anyway. Rose did. _________________
