Set in a world created by best-selling Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher combines spectacular action and an intriguing storyline. You are a Witcher, a warrior who has been trained to fight since childhood, subjected to mutations and trials that have transformed you. You earn a living killing monsters, and are a member of a brotherhood founded long ago to protect people from werewolves, the undead, and a host of other beasts. The game uses advanced graphics and physics systems for a high-powered blend of brutal action, complex RPG options and character configuration, and sweeping storytelling.

• Three plotlines will interweave to form a compelling plot.
• Multi-layered storyline will feature interrogation about the witchers' mutation formulas, an epic conflict of powers and the hero’s personal struggle to regain his own identity.
• Players will build their character by developing more than 250 different special abilities.
• The game will contain over 2,000 pages of absorbing dialogue
• Over 100 intriguing, main-storyline quests will be enriched by at least a hundred side quests.
• The storyline will be divided into six chapters, each divided into two or more episodes. Each of them will comprise an autonomic part of the story and each will reveal certain secrets concerning the main character’s identity.
• Geralt will employ six distinct combat modes, comprised of three styles (strong, swift and group) for two different types of swords (steel and silver)
• Each fighting style will present itself differently, possessing diverse effects and animations.
• 15 general traits will be developed during the game: four attributes, six fighting styles and five magical powers.
• The Witcher is a sword master. To fight effectively he will use two blades: a silver sword that is most effective against monsters, and a steel one, most effective against humans.
