WipEout Pulse teaser trailer revealed

PSP News | Download it here now.
If you were one of the many fans who squealed when WipEout Pulse was announced then we're here to give you another little treat - Sony has sent through the first teaser trailer for the game.

The trailer comes in at 29MB and goes for a little under fifty seconds. So where can you download it? Well, right here of course.

WipEout Pulse will include twenty four new tracks, as well as new ships and weapons. There will be lots of original licensed music and eight new in-game racing teams. The game will also include multiplayer support via online play or ad hoc.

Is anyone else reminded of F-Zero GX when looking at the tracks in that trailer? Some of those corners look like exact copies of tracks from F-Zero GX.

I guess it's convenient that F-Zero copied Wipeout to begin with too.

3D is a vastly different proposition from 2D.

Not really, the franchise and it's ideas were already established.

I thought this was going to be the PS3 version. icon_shifty.gif Looks good, still I need to finish the first.

I wonder if it will link up with the PS3 (if only for getting downloadable content).

Too many people make the mistake of comparing F-Zero to WipE'0ut". Dont do it. The concept of racing may be similar but both titles branch out in their own ways.

I for one am a Wipeout NUT. I got my PSP just for Pure and it was worth every penny. It probably still stands as among the best PSP games in my collection, and that's sayin alot because im one picky f*cker.

Really, REALLY looking forward to this puppy!

The 'Photo Mode' sounds interesting, and im awfully curious just as to what "players creating their own events over Ad-Hoc or Infrastructure Mode" means. The Mag Strip track feature sounds cool, and im looking forward to see how the new team will come through.

was this the game that people got confused that was comming out on ps3? cause my friend is a nut as well and i'm sure he mentioned that there was one going to be on the ps3...

Anyway i'll deffinately be getting this, just to clear things up can someone explain the whole ad-hoc and infrastructure mode? never been knowledgeable on those terms

The terms Ad-Hoc and Infrastructure mode are just fancy terms that Sony use to describe how their Playstation Portable games can be played in multiplayer fashion.

Ad-Hoc means you can play locally in a Unit to Unit fashion via the PSP's inbuilt wireless. Infrastructure means that the game is playable online via a wireless router or wireless access device (if you dont own a wireless router / modem). Infrastructure mode was sadly missing from WipEout Pure, but people still play online using X-Link Kai software.

Its great to see it supported in full in WipEout Pulse.

As far as WipEout titles go on the PS3; nothing solid has been announced.
