Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars images revealed

PSP News | Supposedly running on a PSP.
Sega has sent through the latest images for Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars which will be coming to the PSP in just a few months. The game is a combination of the first and second Crazy Taxi titles.

Fare Wars will contain the cities from the first two games and the crazy box minigames will also make a return. The most notable addition to the game is the multiplayer mode, where you'll be able to "steal" customers off your opponent by slamming their cab, which sounds rather entertaining.

Perhaps they got the DS screenies mixed up? I think I'll pass on this and get the PS2 version for 10 bucks instead.

Looks nasty.

This is why the PSP is failure, too many old game ports instead of new fresh ideas.

You're going to buy Crazy Taxi 1 and 2 on the PS2 for $10? Quite a feat.. considering the second game was never released outside of the Dreamcast. I own both, but a portable version would be much more convenient, and the pick-up-and-play style of Crazy Taxi fits the portable market perfectly (not to mention the crazy fun-sounding multiplayer).

As far as graphics go, if this is running at 60fps, it'll look fantastic. The framerate will make or break this game.

Yeah, I agree. The graphics look atrocious, but how fast it all comes together is another story altogether. I'd file this one under the 'Wait n See' section..

Aha it was a joke! I didn't actually realise the PSP version had both. I could never see the longevity in Crazy Taxi games, I loved the arcade version, but I couldn't bring myself to buy the PS2 version. I'd rather play a game that'll last those long car trips without me getting bored.
