E3 2006: Bomberman title to explode on PSP

PSP News | The classic mascot is set to make his debut to the PSP later this year.

Hudson today announced Bomberman for the PSP. Gamers may be pleased to hear that this title will not be taking the extreme attitude as seen in upcoming Xbox 360 title Bomberman Act: Zero, but thankfully going back to his explosive roots.

The story mode in Bomberman will have gamers blasting through 100 levels in order to save his home planet from an invasion from crazy robots that have left nothing but destruction in their wake. The game will also include a multiplayer mode that’ll allow up to four people unleash carnage over 20 different levels – the game will even include single cart game-sharing for all four players. If that wasn’t enough, Hudson has included an old school section where gamers can play through 50 classic levels.

The explosive new Bomberman title is set for a release later this year, and will be showcased on the E3 show floor this week. Be sure to check out the first screenshots of the game in the media panel.

1 UMD 4 player is great. I just hope for downloadable levels:)

I am looking forward to this game, but I want innovative game play.
- different types of bombs.
- new characters, editable, createable, etc,
- different settings (out of this world)
- good story mode (heroin stereotype)
- characters interaction (pick up each other)

I have said it before and I will say it again. Bomberman is the greatest game in the history of the universe.

There are previously announced totles that have tiped me over the edge to make the decision to buy a PSP (MGS and Silent Hill, for example) but bomberman simply sweetens the deal.
