Pre E3 2006: Dungeons and Dragons Tactics announced

PSP News | And it's exclusive to the PSP.
Atari have announced today that Dungeons and Dragons Tactics is currently in development for the PSP. The game will be a single player RPG set in the Dungeons and Dragons universe, but the game will also support downloadable content, customisable characters and wireless co-op game play modes.

In the game players take on the role of a mortal child caught in a conflict of two competing dragons striving for godhood. All the base Dungeons and Dragons character classes including Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Fighter Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Sorcerer and Wizard will be available.

The multiplayer mode will be extensive. The co-operative mode allows a group of gamers to play the single-player campaign with their friends as a team. In Deathmatch mode a series of special arenas, such as the randomly-generated and populated Dungeon Bash, allows players to fight one another with their saved parties.

Atari haven't supplied any images yet, but we're sure they will be revealed in due time. We'll have more on Dungeons and Dragons Tactics as soon as it becomes available.
