PSP to receive a Metal Slug compilation

PSP News | Very, very cool.

It seems SNK are busy today. As well as showing off King of Fighters 2006, they've also taken the wraps off the Metal Slug Collection for the PSP, celebrating the series 10 year anniversary. The compilation will feature games 1 through to 5, as well as Metal Slug X.

If you've never heard of the Metal Slug series, then shame on you! The game is a former Neo-Geo arcade classic, famous for it's fast, fun, addictive and rather comedic gameplay.

The game is set for a Q3 release this year, and we can't wait.

FINALLY!! Man you guys won't believe how long i've been waiting for the slug games to all come out on 1 compilation. Also (imo) i think the Psp is the best system for it as it's suited more for arcadey type games!

Yay PSP gets 6 slug games, yet PS2 and Xbox get hit with $50 per game...

It's about time they piled these into one compilation. On their own, each game is unjustifiably short and should never have been released as a single game.
