Killzone: Liberation not to be a FPS

PSP News | And to feature stealth elements. Metal Gear Killzone, anyone?
The newest issue of OPSM2 is reporting that the first PSP incarnation in the Killzone series, titled Liberation, will not actually be a first person shooter. Instead, players will view the action from a slightly different third person perspective. But, that's not all. Stealth elements will also be involved, encouraging the use of actual tactics and thinking in order to progress through missions. A stark contrast to the 'must-shoot-everything' approach of Killzone, then. Essentially, it looks like it might be a bit like the controversial Metal Gear Ac!d

The story doesn't seem to have changed much, though. Players will still control Jan Templar (and hopefully other characters like the original, too), and will still be trying to fight off those troublesome Helghast with an array of shiny new weapons.

We've managed to obtain some screenshots as well. They show that the game will have some resemblance to MGA. PALGN will bring you more as it becomes available.

Well, Sony must be throwing money at the franchise like crazy after the E3 CG that wowed everyone. They'll want the once-touted "Halo Killer" to live up to the moniker.

So maybe it'll have a chance of being great...PSP has some really interesting titles coming out now after a bit of a lull.
