Def Jam coming to the PSP

PSP News | It's not a port.
EA games have announced today with Def Jam Enterprises that Def Jam Fight For NY: The Takeover is in development for the PSP. We'd suspected for a long time that a Def Jam title was in development for the PSP, but we've finally recieved confirmation today.

Def Jam Fight for NY: The Takeover is a prequel to Def Jam Vendetta and will put players in the role of numerous hip hop artists including Busta Rhymes, Carmen Electra, Lil' Kim, Ludacris, Method Man, Redman, Snoop Dogg, and Xzibit.

Aside from new characters, the game will also include new venues, moves and will also let players create their own fighter, with clothing from some well known companies. EA have stated that the game will be available in 2006, but that's as specific as they got. We haven't been able to find any images yet, but EA have stated that the first images will be available shortly, we'll report back as soon as we know more.

Not a port? Excellent. I might get this if it controls well.
