And best of all, they managed to confirm what we were hoping for: a fully operable Wi-Fi multiplayer for 1-8 players. They've even gone and included the ability to data sync via USB with the forthcoming PlayStation 2 title, SOCOM III: US Navy SEALs. The clever rascals.
But the friendless amongst you have no need to fear either, for the single player game will come with 14 missions included, including a PSP exclusive level that's to be set in Chile. And thankfully Zipper Interactive, the studio behind the PSP version, hasn't forgotten that it's a handheld title we're talking about here, so have helpfully included 'Instant Action' modes, which allow players to engage in quick bursts of ten minute games over certain objectives, which makes a lot of sense to us.
The game's pencilled in for a November 8th release in the US, meaning a pre-Christmas PAL release could be a distinct possibility. As usual, you'll know when we know.
