Colin McRae and TOCA/V8 Supercars 2 join PSP launch line-up

PSP News | Two more racers line up on the PSP grid.
Codemasters confirmed today that they'll be releasing TOCA Race Driver (known as V8 Supercars 2 in Australia) and Colin McRae Rally 2005 Plus alongside the PSP in PAL regions on September 1st.

TOCA Race Driver 2 is to be a direct port of the PlayStation 2 version, with the broad selection of racing disciplines and categories we've grown to know and love. As an extra for the PSP version, the game also supports wireless multiplayer for upto 12 players. You'll also be able to use your own custom soundtracks, directly from the Memory stick.

The latest Colin McRae title (of which there are some screenshots in the Media Panel) will also feature everything seen in the home console incarnations, again with the added perk of simultaneous eight-player wireless racing. There'll be an option to share replays via wireless too and, rather niftily, a demo download option, so that PSP-owning friends can receive the playable code from you wirelessly and try it out.

The two titles, which were originally pencilled in for a November release, join the likes of Ridge Racer, WipEout Pure and Midnight Club 3at the PSP's launch, further enhancing the handheld's already impressive roster of racing titles.
