More downloadable WipEout Pure content

PSP News | Classic tracks and skins from yesteryear now available.
Sony has today released the first 'Classic Pack' download for futuristic PSP racer WipEout Pure, with the extra content now available at the game's official site.

To get downloading, players need to log on to the site, download the file to their PC and then transfer it to the PSP via USB cable. Once downloaded, you'll be able to zoom around Altima VII (from the very first WipEout, all those years ago) and Odessa Keys (from the not-quite-as-a-good-but-still-decent WipEout XL), all whilst steering a Goteki 45 FX300 ship and enjoying a new matching menu skin. Lovely.

Sony's already said there'll be more Classic Packs materialising - we'll keep you informed on that front. And for those of you who missed them, don't forget that there's three Gamma Packs already available (you can also find them at the official site) which add a whole new tournament to the single-player mode.

As for the actual game itself, it'll be launching alongside the PSP in Australia and Europe on September 1st.

it seems like this game is a sound investment as far as developer love is concerned...

they certainly want people to keep playing it anyway...
