Mercury confirmed as PSP launch title

PSP News | Plus: images of the game in action.
Awesome Studios has today confirmed to PALGN that Mercury - otherwise known as Archer MacLean's Mercury - will be a European launch title for the PSP when the handheld appears on September 1. And whilst Australian launch dates are scarce, the publisher has also confirmed that the game will be available for us Australians on launch day as well.

In the game, players are required to 'tilt' each level in order to manoeuvre the blobs of mercury, with various switches, platforms, obstacles and hazards standing between level goals. Awesome Software is particularly proud of the engine that drives the game as well, which calculates every gloopy part of the mercury as it bends and melds around everything in its path.

We've managed to secure the six latest images which showcase the game. Point your cursors towards the media panel for some liquid metal goodness.

Looks great - I love stuff like this. icon_biggrin.gif

May have to pick it up for my PSP on import. Reminds me a bit of Marble Madness.

They should make a "tilt" umd. That'd work...
