More PSP Grand Theft Auto details made available

PSP News | Game still scheduled for release this year, say Rockstar.
Those nice chaps at Rockstar have revealed to the World that Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, the next handheld GTA title, is still on target to be released this year on Sony's PSP console in PAL regions.

The news was leaked in Rockstar's recent financial statement, with Rockstar proclaiming that the title has 'an entirely original storyline with all new missions and the freedom, production values and depth of play comparable to other Grand Theft Auto titles.' Aside from that bit of press release fluff, little more was revealed about the title itself.

What we do know is that the game sees players returning to Liberty City, the setting for the first 3D Grand Theft Auto game. And with the game set to be one of the first batch of PSP titles, it shouldn't be too long before we get some official screenshots - stay tuned.
