E3 2005: Lemmings comes to PSP

PSP News | Those classic creatures are coming to PSP.
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe announced today that they are bringing Lemmings to the PSP, which was originally made by DMA Design in 1991.

Lemmings games are made up of puzzles where green-haired lemmings come out of a part of the level and need to get to the goal. All they can do is walk forward except when the player assigns things for some of the lemmings to do, such as drilling down or blowing up, using the tools allotted for the level.

Team 17 is developing this new Lemming games and it will feature both classic and new levels. On top of that, players can create their own levels that can shared with friends, presumably over the PSP's built-in wireless functionality. Sony also plans to release downloadable content including new themes and levels.

As soon as we hear more on this title or get some screens, we'll give you an update.
