Monster Hunter Diary G announced

PSP News | XOXO, Monster Hunter.
The PlayStation Portable ain't dead yet. At least, in Japan it sure isn't. While the platform might be struggling a little in the West, some developers are finding huge success across the ocean, particularly with the Monster Hunter series, and the next game on the hunter's list is Monster Hunter Diary G.

Revealed by Andriasang, the Monster Hunter Diary series is a spin-off from the mainline Monster Hunter titles; shifting the focus from slaughtering towering, ancient monsters, to an Animal Crossing-esque village simulation.

As noted by Andriasang, Monster Hunter Diary G is unlikely a sequel to the original Monster Hunter Diary, and instead somewhat of an expanded release, as noted by the 'G' prefix, which is often attached to expanded re-releases of mainline Monster Hunter titles.

For our readers interested in quirky Japanese titles, this might be worth looking into. For the rest of us, there is no guarantee Monter Hunter Diary G will see a localised release, as the original Monter Hunter Diary did not.
