Dissidia: Final Fantasy sequel announced

PSP News | Duodenum something or other.
This week's Shonen Jump has revealed that Square Enix are working on a sequel to their PSP cross-over fighting game, Dissidia: Final Fantasy. Arriving once more on the PSP, the sequel is titled Dissidia Duodecim: Final Fantasy.

While full details are not available at this stage, the magazine shows that Kain from Final Fantasy IV and Lightning from the newest Final Fantasy XIII are both playable in the game.

The game is currently scheduled for a release in Japan in 2011, and more news and perhaps a playable version are expected to arrive during TGS next week.

Fantastic! The first was awesome but there was definitely room for improvement, especially in the story mode.

Another one? That was pretty quick. I guess it'll be nice to see what kind of improvements they make to the second part.

The first game was a nice game for the fans... never could finish it though.

It was released in japan at the end of 2008, so it's over 2 years between them.

Can't wait to see the charecter line up. Here's hoping for Freya from ff9

Also would love to see some of the recuring monsters playable like a tonbery

I really enjoyed the first one.
I do hope they improve the story mode however. (Especially with villians)

Vincent - FF7
Zell - FF8
Vivi - FF9
Wakka - FF10
Basch - FF12
