Dissidia: Final Fantasy confirmed for Australia

PSP News | Final Fantasy themed fighting game heading to our shores.
Square-Enix has officially announced today that their Final Fantasy themed fighting game, Dissidia: Final Fantasy will be getting an Australian release on 3 September 2009.

Dissidia: Final Fantasy is a fighting game for the PSP featuring famous characters from the Final Fantasy universe. Gamers will be able to play the likes of Squall Leonhart, Cecil, Sephiroth, Tidus and several other heroes and villains from Final Fantasy games. Fans of the series can now create some truly epic dream matches.

John Yamamoto, president and chief executive officer of Square Enix Ltd. comments, “With so many favourite heroes and villains contained in one game, Dissidia: Final Fantasy is certainly going to appeal to fans of the series. The action-packed experience is a real showcase for the PSP and is set to become an instant classic on the system.”

A limited collector’s edition has also been confirmed and will be available via EB Games. It will contain the game itself, a soundtrack CD, a 48-page art book, a 32-page mini-guide by Brady Games and two exclusive lithograph prints. They should chuck Ehrgeiz up on the PSN in the lead-up to this - I'd buy that. Loved that game.

Collectors edition? Only if the price is right. EBgames will probably charge an extra $50 for it.

Nice to know we've got a release date though.

The price of the Collector's Edition has already been confirmed. It's $89.95

those mini guides are usualy terrible though, like that one that came with street fighter 4, that thing was a joke.

Only an extra $20 for a hardback 48 page art book and mini soundtrack? It sounds pretty good.

I hope this game is fun. I can't make up my mind based on the gameplay trailers and screenshots.

Played the Japanese version quite a bit, but just couldn't like it. Very meh, strangely for a FF game. And I loved Ehrgeiz too.
