First shots of the PSP playing games

PSP News | We have over 15 pictures of the PSP in action from the Sony Conference - including the first shots of games in action.
At the recent annual Sony Conference, the PSP made it's full playable debut, as more information was released about upcoming games.

Many games were playable on the handheld including Gran Turismo Mobile and Everybody's Golf. Other information to come from the conference suggested that UMDs will be priced similarly to DVDs so software should be competitively priced to say the least.

We know you're eager to check out all the shots so refer to the media panel for a closer look and then start counting the days until release. PALGN will have more information on the PSP and its games as it becomes available.

Whats cool is that they are playing Armored Core Formula Front... (The robot game).

How do we know the games were running on the PSP? The units are clamped down like at E3, so the games could be running on pc emulators still.

*scratches 'MEH' into the monitor screen*

Still isn't looking any better, no matter how many times I look at it. I'm sure many of my fanboy friends will have these at some point, so I won't judge it too much 'til I play it.

i still think it looks sexy, but i dunno if i'll buy one... i don't really go anywhere where i can justify having one...
if i'm not driving, i'm on the train, and thats only for 20 minutes which isn't worth the hassle...

maybe if a get an offshore gig, it might be worth it...

Since when would you use it when you were driving anyway...

But yer I will probobly give it a miss unless someone leaves one lying around on a park bench somewhere... Too much money is wasted on these kind of things I am only interested in for a couple of weeks.

thats my point.... if i go anywhere i usually drive, or i'm on the train for a period that isn't really worth getting into a game...

of course this is pre-release opinion... icon_smile.gif

But what I don't really understand is how you could play with it while you were driving anyway O.o

you can't... and you're mis-reading my post...

ok... if i go somewhere i either:
a) drive, so i can't play any games; or
b) am only on public transport for a short time which IMO doesn't necessitate playing games

is that clear now?

Read his post(s) care-fu-lly.
Anyway, considering the PSP's battery life, you won't play for long periods at a time. icon_razz.gif

Isn't its battery supposed to last for 8 hours when veiwing DVD's, games may drain more then that, but there will be adapters to plug it into your wall or somewhere in your car.

but since i'm driving, i won't be playing...

and if i'm at home, why not play the proper console?
