I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but ever since I installed the patch (ps3), I've had the game freeze a number of times. I had a few lag issues before the patch but never freezing.

And then my save gets corrupted because I've had to reset the console. Luckily there are multiple autosaves.
Just finished the main quest, now I'm gonig through master quest.

One thing that annoyed me was that it doesn't save the game once it finishes.. I spent ages going back and getting all the skultulas and heart pieces I missed before facing ganondorf.. and now everything I got since my last save is gone.
I pre-ordered Duke Nukem Forever from the GAME website, it arrived a few days ago, but I haven't had a chance to play it yet.

I got an email from GAME saying that they didn't have any key rings left that people apparently got for pre-ordering (it was just the standard edition.)

a few days later, a package arrived with these:



The DN comic and promo copies of killzone 3, SOCOM: Special Forces and Playstation Move Heroes.. I think its a good replacement for a key ring. icon_biggrin.gif
apparently it was supposed to fix the problems people had with ridge racer.

I'm still pretty disappointed that nothing new has been added to the store.. Does anyone know if they're going to have set dates for the store updates?

I just found out about this today. Whoever is in adelaide AVCon is in town. Sure its no comic-con, but hey, its something. Its only on this weekend at the convention centre.

Its got a few tournaments going on, anime screenings, cosplay comps. Definitely worth checking out. I'll be going tomorrow to try get into the Mario Kart Wii tourney. Hopefully some PALGNers can come give me a challenge.

yeah, but really it depends on the kind of person thats behind the wheel. Ive been in the car with some absolutely crazy drivers and others who are really careful.

that's pretty much the same with me. When Im in the car with the instructor I'd always be thinking about all the little things that I have to do while I'm driving, and I'd be more likely to mess one thing up because i'm focusing on doing another thing correctly. but when I'm driving with other people, i just relax and drive.
So I had my final assessment drive today... I passed!

...but, I've got about a couple more hours to do before I reach the 50 hours so I can go get my Ps. So here's my question... It says in the log book that I have to do 2400 minutes (40 hours) of day driving and 10 of night. I've done about 18 hours of night driving and 29 hours of day driving... do I have to do exactly 40 hours of day driving or will the fact that I've done more than 10 still count toward the 50 hours?

I'm not sure if that made much sense so I'll just try to word it simpler... Do I have to do exactly 40 hours of day driving or can I do say, 30 of day and 20 of night?

I heard from a mate that it doesn't matter but I just wanted to be sure...

So here's the thing... I'm about to go to qld for a week or so and meeting up with a friend over there and I need to bring an extra suitcase for their stuff for when we fly back home.

so what i want to know is, am I allowed to bring an empty suitcase with me on the flight there?

I'm flying with virgin and I've checked their site, but the only thing I could find out was that the luggage couldn't exceed 23kg.

Yeah, I was only able to stick around for one race... stupid visitors had to come along and i had to play host for the night...

so true... every now and then I know a turn is coming and begin going in one direction then realise that its mirrored and try to turn back the other way but end up going off the track or hitting the wall. icon_sad.gif

ever since i got my ps3, the wii has been collecting a bit of dust.. should show it some love sometime...

I got a message on from the mario kart channel yesterday saying something about another comp. Something about a vs race on luigi's circuit with no items.
Count me in for sunday too... unless my internet gets capped before then, which will mean that i'll have to wait until next month to get in on these races icon_sad.gif.
I decided to hop online the other day and have a few quick races... I only had 2 races but I quickly realised that I was losing my touch. I also remembered how awesome this game is online!

I wouldn't mind kicking this thing up again and racing against a few PALGNers again.. so for whoever wants to, I'll try to be online this sunday night from about 7pm (Adelaide time..)

damn, i can't believe i missed it... i just got home now... I was looking forward to this all week... you know you're addicted when all you can think about is getting home just so you can race.

sometime in the near future i hope to race against all of you again... i've never had races as close as the ones i've had with all of you.
Everyone still up for tomorrow? It may be my last race for a while since brawl is coming out next week. Once i get my hands on it, I doubt it'll be coming out of my wii for a long time.

anyway, im definitely keeping my eye on this one, so far it hasn't really sparked much interest in me. So until i see a game that makes good use out of this, its nothing special to me.

Had an awesome time racing last night, but I got online well before 7 and got a few races in before everyone else started popping up.. not to sound cocky or anything, but i've found that in most of the continental races i had there's really only 1 or 2 people that I really had to compete with out of all the racers..

then I started getting connection problems and kept getting disconnected... once everything got sorted i joined everyone else.. I keep forgetting how good all of you are! But what happened joe? You didn't seem to be doing as well as you usually do.. or are we all just getting better?
you can probably use the nintendo wifi usb connector. it lets your wii connect to the net and can handle a few connections at a time.
im usually free most nights during the week.. saturdays are a no go for me as i usually finish work at 9:30, and i guess most people would be less likely to be free on a sat night anyway.. sunday nights are usually good also, but only if we race around 7:30 EST.
i got home late and managed to make it for what I think was the second round...

i jumped on as soon as i got home, but couldn't get into the room, so i just waited a bit until it was open again... I didn't catch on for a while that we were doing the banana cup so i just kept doing random.. i think i screwed up the sequence after it chose my course. icon_confused.gif

I didn't realise how good most of you are, I was always near the front of the pack for the first few laps and then screw up and drop to 5th.. but i got lucky in the last race when I got a lighting bolt and then 3 mushrooms...

managed to nab 3rd place overall.. hopefully we'll be able to do it again sometime.
put me down as a maybe too... i'm not sure if i'll be able to make it by 7... AND my wireless seems to be a bit tempermental lately, so i don't know if i'll be able to stay online long enough for the whole thing.
I think that the people who were born in the early era of gaming and grew up with a NES/SNES or earlier would be the ones that mainly say that they prefer gameplay over graphics than those who grew up with a N64/PS.

well i got 1st out of my friends list (i think)... didn't get anything though icon_sad.gif

i haven't been online in a while, we went over our quota for the month and i had to wait until it got reset... and then it did and i got bombarded with shifts at work... so maybe hopefully i'll be online sometime tonight.
I downloaded the world champ's ghost for N64 bowsers castle, and tried doing it their way... i managed to do it but i was still 10 seconds off the record... one of these days i'll have a world champ record...

I played this in gametraders today. I don't know if it was the TV or something, but the game looked pretty...rough... but that didn't take away the fact that I got to play it, even if it was for just a few minutes... i want this so much!
