Re: X-box dead, Gamecube Lives? (1 decade ago)
"if i read your post it would just bore me anyway
but really you can't say X-box did a great job selling their system at launch do you. Now ask you local game person and they will say they sold very little. My point to the post was do you think Nintendo Gc will over come the problems X-box had gees. And i don't care if you had 5,000 post at IGN thats a whole different board isn't it? when you make 5,000 post here well then i'll shut my mouth."
Nintendo aren't going to ovecome the problems XBox had at launch because they are in totally different positions, i.e they don't have the same problems that contribute to lack of sales. If you didn't bother to read my post then don't bother to reply, it lends no credibility to what your saying. I wasn't saying they did a great job, or a bad job for that matter, I was just saying that soem of the startements made by the people on this forum were exceptionally biased in their analysis. and that is to be expected as it is a primarily nintendo based site. It just irritates me to see people posting crap that isn't true.

People who visit IGN's forums and know who I am will be able to vouch for me having credibility in my posting. Seeing as though I have over 5000 posts over there. I'm not trying to trigger any debate, it's just i have seen alot of untrue statements made over here and GC fanboys tend to jump on every negative aspect of the Xbox.
I have seen all too often a bias from GC owners that seems to give them tunnel vision. All they have in their sites is thier precious Nintendo based console.
I in truth am getting a cube myself. most probably when Eternal Darkness is released. I find the GC launch particulalry lack-lustre. sure GC will sell better at launch because it is cheaper and an established name in the console business.
The Xbox was released at the slowest time of the year consumer-wise. christmas has just passed and the majority of the public would have only just recently purchased a PS2. they are hardly going to fork out for a new console. the Xbox has alot to do to gain soem console credibility, it is not just going to fly off the shelves. People just don't trust Microsoft as a console manufacturer.
There is much more that could be said, but i'm afraid it will mostly fall on deaf ears. I don't care if you do or don't listen. All I was saying before is that I noticed that a common trait I have seen for years in GC fanboys is alos present in this forum among some of you people. and I doubt you can see it in yourself, because that GC light at the end of the tunnel is blinding your ignorant vision.

This thread is a top concentration of fanboys "accurately" analysing the XBox. Ignorant bias seems to be a common trait seen in cube zealots.
