If it s not listed on their system you also cannot trade it (JB assumes they are store sepceific imports even with australian rarting stickers and treats them as untradable, as they do any other import) Usually its rubbish like 8 ball and ocktoberfest etc ($14.95 used each at game at the moment but NOT tradable) I got mine preorder today trading contact ($14 used Ebs) IL-2 Sturmovik ($15 used GAME) Colour Cross ($10 toy r us) and heroes might and magc clash of heores ($15 used GAME)

You really should grab a might and magic for yourself at that price as well, its a great game.....
I traded two games that weren't on their system yesterday. They were both UK imports with Australian rating stickers. On my receipt they were both added as "TI NDS OPEN SKU" and the name of the games were inserted as separate comments. It may depend on the store, but I have done this at two different JB stores.

SE aren't an AAA+ developer anymore. They are struggling.
I use Final Fantasy VIII as a yardstick for all new FF games because that's the first one that drew me in. I'm sure other people like the latest iterations but I just find myself constantly disappointed. Squaresoft was fantastic and so was Enix (played bust a groove to death). Today it seems not so much.

A Night in Fantasia was awesome icon_smile.gif.

Got my copy of God of War II signed by Chris Velasco and Shadow of the Colossus signed by Kow Otani and Aika Tsuneoka icon_dance.gif (who has one of the greatest signatures ever).

4 NES games from Superted (wonderfully packed for transit I might add)
Double Dragon II and III
A Boy and his Blob
Kirby's Adventure

From eBay - Tennis NES ($5)
How strange, I was only just playing this game an hour ago.

I used to think that the controls on the N64 pad could sometimes get a bit clumsy without the second analogue stick. That was until the other day when I found out that you can dual wield two N64 controllers in single player mode to get the two sticks icon_eek.gif. It seems like overkill but with the two sticks and triggers in each hand you just feel so god damn cool icon_cool.gif.

This game truly is gold. It deserves to be played and enjoyed by everyone, not argued over icon_rolleyes.gif.

Edit: bad grammar

It involves firearms, an axe and a chainsaw. The operation is so brilliantly devised that I can not discuss it as it has been banned by the OFLC.
Well that is a problem icon_confused.gif and I must say it has me worried. How on earth will I know what to do if the plan is needed? Have you thought of some type of placemat distribution system? You could plan it on another placemat.

Also, if your plan has been banned, maybe you could 'edit' it. Say for example, change firearms to rolled up newspapers, axe to feather duster and chainsaw to carousel reversal spray. Then maybe, maybe it would be fitting for the rest of us.

snip... It'll also be a good time to put into place my zombie action plan (It's on the back of a McDonald's placemat).
I like your style icon_smile.gif. I've devised quite a lot of components for my uni thesis on napkins, the back of envelopes, a kebab wrapper and the list goes on. You never know when good ideas strike and I like to think that I'm innovative using these "new mediums". I usually have my best ideas in the shower. I think if I get a setup like this I'll be unstoppable:

Unfortunately my shower head is not very good as it has a tiny spray you have to squeeze under. I tend to have better ideas in other peoples showers where the pressure is better and have come to the conclusion that good ideas in the shower are directly proportional to your shower water pressure (as shown by this graph):

So in order to maximise the extent of my innovation I would need something like the Commando 450:

But I digress, anything devised on a Maccas placemat must be awesome. I need to get me some of those.

By the way, this post is in no way related to zombies and typing it up rather than doing work has made me smile. icon_biggrin.gif

Damn icon_eek.gif! Sometimes you just gotta hate the bias of those mutual friends. It makes you wonder how mutual though if they're taking sides when there really are no sides to take. It's not like it has anything to do with you. That would absolutely tick me off.

That must be a pretty good feeling. I would imagine it's more awesome than when you find a fiver in your pocket or in between the lounge cushions. Funny though, it never feels like you have found $5 you lost. It feels more like you just made $5 instantly which is awesome icon_smile.gif

A relationship is built on communication and if your partner doesn't want to talk about issues that are important to you and are affecting you, then that is selfish.
A very good point. Bottom line, relationships are complicated and if communication breaks down on an issue such as this it has the potential to destabilise the relationship. His reasoning for not wanting to talk about it may be fundamentally simple from his point of view. More often than not though it occurs through anxiety about change and how that may affect both of your lives and the relationship.

As he has not told you to leave then your relationship means something to him.

It is also very easy to interpret peoples lashing out as a expression of anger and not anxiety; be careful of that. Sadly, if there is no proper discussion, no proper resolution can occur as neither of you will know if you'll be happy with the outcome and being the only person that wants to talk about it definitely makes things seem harder.

Sometimes the best way to get someone to open up is to approach the talks from a different angle.

I hope everything works out well for you Charly.
Monkey Island?!!

Ahoy thar great day, gar! This brin's a tear t' an old sea dogs eye. Whar's my bottle o' rum?

That's fantastic. I hope I'm that cool when I'm at that age.

My grandparents keep calling their computer the television, and sometimes my Pa calls the TV the wireless icon_lol.gif.
If they ask me to fix the television while I'm over at their place I have to work out what they really want fixed first.

Edit: Come to think of it, that makes me smile icon_smile.gif. Ah good times.

Edit 2: Just read my post again and it made me think of this.

Thanks for the list Joseph. I have saved quite a bit of money over the last year because of the fine work you do. Cheers.
Rescue: The Embassy Mission on the NES.

The gameplay is great and the soundtrack during the sneaking parts is killer. Too bad you can finish it in 15 minutes though.

Funny thing is I had no idea if that was a good price icon_lol.gif. I just thought: "hmmmm small NES... definitely". Kinda lucked into it. Got some dogbones and double dragon 2/3 on the way (from you of course) as well as Battletoads. I can see this becoming my multiplayer console of choice. Just need a bag to carry it around in icon_smile.gif .

I just watched a youtube video of it. It looks fantastic. I noticed there is always another guy following the player around. Does this mean there is a two player option?
Re: Your newest purchase (3 years ago)
Hey everyone, I'm a bit of a lurker here and am hoping to do some more posts since I really enjoy reading every one's contributions on this forum.

I'm very excited about this icon_biggrin.gif. Got this about a week ago.

NES Top Loader - $15
Mario Bros/Tetris/Nintendo World Cup 3 in one cart - $5
Rescue: The Embassy Mission - $8

The carts are from eBay. I picked up the NES in Canberra at some markets while away on holidays.

I love the 8 bit awesomeness. I grew up on the Sega Master System so the NES is all new and exciting to me.
I got my tickets for this as soon as they became available. This will be my first time seeing Eminence. I can't wait.
Yay! Roxas was great. I'm looking forward to a KH set around his story icon_biggrin.gif

Thanks for the info icon_biggrin.gif picked up my copy of MGS today. Hooray for exploiting the system!
Judging by the picture over at playasia they are using the Australian PS3 version for their asian release and it is $54.90US + $3.40 postage here which is very cheap.

Please note that this is my affiliate link that I'm posting. Lego star wars was fantastic. I can't wait to get into this.
1up has reported that the new issue of electronic gaming monthly has an article on bioshock for ps3 with confirmation from 2k games.

Re: Region Free (5 years ago)
^Never seen that screen before. Hmmmmm not too subtle is it.
Re: Easy Mode Volume 2.9 (5 years ago)
^Totally agree. I got my ps3 on launch and I couldn't believe how much the games were there. I just accepted it and bought them, pity.

The department stores can give some pretty great discounts sometimes. The guy at EB tried so hard to stop me canceling my pre-order to the point it was becoming frustrating. That was the first and only time I've ever walked out of a video games store angry.
Re: Region Free (5 years ago)
I doubt that they will release a patch to do that due to licensing issues. It's a real pity though because there are a few games I want that never made it here plus the fact that it's so much cheaper to import.

NTSC-J won't work on a local ps3
Is this true? can anyone confirm or deny?
Totally true. Whilst ps3 games are region free. PSone games and PS2 games and only be played on a ps3 console from that specific region. That is, if you have a PAL ps3 you can only play PAL PSone or PS2 games not NTSC. Be careful. As for buying stuff off Play-Asia I said something about this in this thread.
Re: Easy Mode Volume 2.9 (5 years ago)
No worries. I originally found out about it through reading stuff other people have said on this site. I wish I had have known about it sooner. I just got assassin's creed for $71.90AUD + $4.20 post icon_biggrin.gif . I originally had it pre-ordered at EB but as for the price difference icon_eek.gif I'm not buying stuff there if I can help it now.

Just make sure you check the region information for any games you intend to purchase. PS3, DS & GBA don't have region protection, and I just had a look at the 360 stuff just to make sure and most of it is fine. Just make sure you purchase games that have "No Region Protection" in the description and everything will be sweet.

Try using Play-Asia. I get my ps3 games off there because I was sick of paying $119.95. They are reliable too icon_biggrin.gif .
