Wait, does that mean FF9 only sold 2M copies total?... or is that a missing text thing.
Re: Survivor (1 year ago)
Definitely wasn't a fan of this season.... Coach, Ozzy, Brandon, Cochran and RI ruined it for me (and I think that those 5, no hyperbole, had like 90% of the screen time)
Just got back from the Parramatta Westfield Nintendo Connection Tour 2011.

Skyward Sword... Really REALLY plain and simple fun!

Also I got interviewed by two of the people there and one of them said that I was their best interview and gave me a Zelda Shirt icon_biggrin.gif

Now I'm excited to find the video with me in it... in a few days when it's up somewhere.
Will be posting pictures as soon as I find a camera, but I recently bought some SURVIVOR Buffs, to those who don't know what they are, they're the little bandana thingies they give to the contestants to differentiate tribes.

These aren't mine, but mine look the same (I got all the ones from the season, Micronesia: Fans vs Favourites) so icon_biggrin.gif

Yes. Oh Yes. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I'm so FREAKING Excited for possible that.
*stunned* Love The World ends With you, definitely needs a sequel just like jesuslol said.

Now, i'm EXTRA super excited for this game.
Re: Survivor (1 year ago)
I agree with Macka for the most part, I'm loving Mikiwingle (Mikayla 'Miki' Wingle. Best surname ever), my all time favourite so far would have to be Mark 'Papa Bear' Anthony Caruso. Love him, he seems to have integrated into his tribe really well and isn't too stand-outish to be a leader despite him being older.

Another person I'm incredibly impressed with is Jim, especially how he was able to immediately acknowledge that Ozzy was trying to keep Semhar for 'a reason' and he seems to have convinced most of the tribe to go with him, I believe in terms of voting, Jim and Papa Bear will have more pull and be leaders of that alliance, whereas Ozzy will only really be there for challenges and not assume an alliance leadership position, I don't believe that Ozzy will be the mastermind behind many if any votes.

At least pre-merge icon_biggrin.gif Hopefully he gets there.

On the other hand Cochran definitely was below my expectations, and according to Dalton Ross' Survivor Recap* (and he was there on location for the first few days) the first tribal council went FOREVER! Apparently hours, and it was just Cochran talking himself in circles and digging himself deeper, and When it came down to him or Semhar, I couldn't pick it, although I'm glad it went the way it did.

One last note, the challenges!!!! Firstly, glad there was 2, and I REALLY hope that there are reward challenges this season. I pray for them.

In the Reward challenge between Coach and Ozzy, The Tower of Hanoi puzzle, I did some research and apparently the 6 layered puzzle they had (which includes the turtle) took a MINIMUM of 63 moves if done perfectly, so that, combined with pressure, combined with tribemates telling them possibly wrong moves, that could have taken hundreds of moves.

All-in-all, great episode, and I've got high hopes for the future!

That looked really really fun icon_biggrin.gif It appealed to all the things I like in a game, little things.

Also the music made me giggle in an awesome way.
The giant enemy looks like a Shadow Heartless from the Kingdom Hearts series. Looks ALOT like it.

Game looks great though, although I was disappointed by Lost Future.

It can't be any worse that number 8.
People keep saying that with other things and yet it keeps happening! icon_sad.gif

Still, I'm as optimistic about this as the next guy icon_biggrin.gif
Re: Survivor (1 year ago)
Yessirry, it airs in roughly 60 hours from this point (2am Tuesday 13th).

roughly.

I'm super duper excited, LOVE Mark, he's gotta be my favourite, but there's a lot of decent castaways this season, I'd go so far as to say there's only 1 survivor I do not like, "Rick". Other than him, it's almost pure quality
Got the NES Games a few days ago, for those that didn't know, the full list of games is:
Super Mario Bros.
The Legend Of Zelda
The Legend of Zelda 2
Wrecking Crew
Mario Open Golf Tournament
Metroid
Yoshi
Balloon Fight
Donkey Kong Jr.
Ice Climber

I've played them all, they work fine. But the games I find just don't hold up. They're not that fun. I'm more excited for the GBA games later this year.
In the 'ticks you off' thread, I posted about losing my Subway job. A few days later, a Donut King calls me up, offers me a managerial position!!!!! Just had interview today, I got training on Sunday. Makes me really appreciate the whole "life closes one door but opens another" view of life.
I agree with Jahanzeb, Advance was fun, but Rush not as much.

And this DOES look fairly awesome. Assuming I have any money at all at any point, this will be the first things I buy!

P.S How much cooler is (g)Olden day Sonic compared to the new one? I beleve the number is high!
What ticks me off is getting hired for a week, then fired for seemingly no reason at all. They didn't explain it, and they didn't even mention it during my work shifts that I was doing anything wrong or not up to snuff.

Makes me sad, especially cause i've been looking for a job for so gorram long.
Just send an email, this is hopefully a cool opportunity for me to donate my old Sonic CD and Sonic R that don't work for modern computers anymore, and also I got 'em on the Sonic Gems collection, so it all works out icon_biggrin.gif
HO-LY POONUGGETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes. Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes. Enuogh blabbering. Love this game, I've always found it way more fun and a little more deep than the numbered Sonic's. Especially the soundtrack (which I hope they use the PAL soundtrack and not the other one, Major difference being no Sonic Boom on the non-PAL one)

Call me one excited muffin for this game.
Re: Survivor (1 year ago)
For those who simply CAN'T wait for information on the newest season of survivor, I stumbled upon this (spoiler free) site with information on the 16 new castaways:
[PREPARE FOR COPY AND PASTE]

Mark Anthony Caruso is a 47 year-old retired NYPD morgue detective turned registered nurse from Forest Hills, New York. This “Santa Claus” look-a-like wants to be the father figure on his tribe.

Sophie Clarke is a 22 year-old pre-med student from Willsboro, New York. Young and accomplished, Clarke comes off as cocky, which could be her undoing the game of Survivor.

John Cochran is a 23 year-old Harvard law student from Oakton, Virginia. Cochran completed his undergraduate studies at Columbia University. This huge Survivor fan knows how to play the game and says that 99% of his strategy is based on adaptability.

Albert Destrade is a 25 year-old high school baseball coach and dating coach from Plantation, Florida. Destrade says that others will think he’s a dumb athlete, although he’s very calculating.

Whitney Duncan is a 26 year-old singer/songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee. This rising country star says that she craves adventure and is always looking to do something crazy… even though her family thinks she’s nuts.

Brandon Hantz is a 19 year-old oil tankerer from Katy, Texas. This season’s youngest competitor, he is also married with one son, and has a daughter on the way. Brandon’s last name will no doubt be familiar to Survivor fans. He is the nephew of notorious Survivor villain Russell Hantz, who previously played the game three times, finishing in the Final Three twice and then departing early on in his most recent stint.

Edna Ma is a 35 year-old anaesthesiologist from Los Angeles, California. In addition to her duties as a doctor, Ma is also an entrepreneur who created a numbing cream for women to use before getting a bikini wax. While she admits that she lacks physical strength, Ma says that she is good at earning peoples’ trust since she does it on a daily basis.

Dawn Meehan is a 40 year-old English professor from South Jordan, Utah. This Mormon wife and mother of 6 adopted children teaches at Brigham Young University and has gotten into excellent shape through her quest to compete on Survivor.

Rick Nelson is a 51 year-old cattle rancher and horseback riding guide from Aurora, Utah. Nelson won a nation-wide casting contest back in February 2011, which helped to get him onto the show. The same contest was won last year by Jimmy Tarantino of Survivor: Nicaragua.

Stacey Powell is a 44 year-old mortician from Grand Prairie, Texas. The eldest woman this season, Powell does not want to take on the role of being “mother” of her tribe, even though she has children in real life.

Jim Rice is a 34 year-old medical marijuana distributor and professional poker player from Denver, Colorado. Rice has a high opinion of himself, believing that he is the smartest member of the cast and an “excellent player.”

Christine Shields Markoski is a 39 year-old teacher from Merrick, NY. She plans to “lay low in the beginning and kick butt in the end,” but what she didn’t count on was missing her family even before the game started. How will this affect her ability to play the game?

Semhar Tadesse is a 24 year-old poet from Los Angeles, California. Originally from Washington, this Eritrean beauty previously lived in war-torn Africa for a year. Does that give her an advantage? Not according to Tadesse, who claims that she lived in the city, not in the wild.

Keith Tollefson is a 26 year-old environmental field technician from San Diego, California. Originally from Edina, Minnesota, this “nice guy” was born with a heart condition and now has a pacemaker. He worries that his condition may lead to an early exit if his tribemates feel that he’ll garner sympathy votes.

Elyse Umemoto is a 26 year-old model and go-go dancer from Las Vegas, Nevada. She was crowned Miss Washington USA 2007 and was the first Native American to win the title.

Mikayla “Miki” Wingle is a 21 year-old model, bartender, and lingerie football player from Tampa, Florida. Even though others may think of her as manipulative, Wingle says that she just knows how to get what she wants out of people.

[COPY AND PASTE ENDED]

So anyway, that's that. Also, here is the picture provided with this info of the castaways

Hope you enjoy!
[INSERT 1000000 PLUSSES]
Pepsi Plunge is definitely a cool move, but it's got nothing on the Canadian Destroyer.

I'm loving the C Montgomery Punk pictures!!! He's a funny guy. That belt is gonna travel the world.

What I'm most excited for, is that they're finally gonna (and Punk totally called it) change the ugly ass belt, that spinny thing was the stupidest design choice ever imo. I reckon the only way the spinning icon thing would be acceptable in any way is if it was Triple H's face from the No Mercy N64 game.

I couldn't tell if it was a joke song, but I thought it was pretty bad either way, 2/10. But in terms of badness....

it reminded me alot of what I like to profess as the worst song I've ever heard, and that song has NOTHING on this, this is the physical embodiment of the reverse of talent.

I present to you, "It's So Cold In The D"

I will actually be impressed with whoever finishes the song in order to rate it.

EDIT: I can't leave you guys with the horrible song, so here's another one which is actually one of my current favourites, mostly due to the intro. I love love love it. WARNING It is a Ska song, and may not be for everyone icon_biggrin.gif

EDIT2: Hahaha Karai is a reverse fink. Oh well, still a good song icon_razz.gif
Thanks guys, I went and bought a multi adaptor thing that charges iPod/Pads and ds and 3DS and all that jazz that is both a wall, and a car and a usb charger, so I got my bases covered! Thanks for the info.
Hey I just got my 3DS from America, and apart from me forgetting that it would have an American charger and that I would need a power adaptor, or just buy an Australian charger, what are all the general other problems that come with having a US 3DS... as far as I can tell it's just some online store problems and the aforementioned charger dealy. Is there anything else I should know about?
Alot of the descriptions near the end of the review reminded me of the old book/movie "The Phantom Tollbooth" which alot of people compare with Alice in Wonderland. Anyone who's read or seen that will know what I'm talking about when the third last paragraph remind me of the Terrible Trivium.

Perhaps the lengthiness was a design choice icon_razz.gif
Re: Pokemon B&W (1 year ago)
I finished White with a pretty fun team, Vanilluxe, Samurott, Golurk, Excavelier, Accelgor and Eelektross. And today, my Black version should be delivered, along with my 3DS (Squee!) so I can finally finish the pokedex, I've been exactly like Big Pete, surprisingly and out of character-ly obsessed with finishing the pokedex! I've only got the black exclusives and 2 trade evolutions left to do!!! Then I'm thinking I'll head back to play Emerald, Firered and Soulsilver and Platinum and I'll finish the pokede 100%... I've got a big task ahead of me!

EDIT: On the subject of Tornadus and Thundurus, I found Thundurus (and I assume tornadus will be the same) ridiculously easy to catch entirely due to the storm effect on the route where they are (no more checking the pokedex!) so I would just go to like, a northern route in the afternoon, and just keep entering the information desk place and the route over and over until it was stormy, then i'd damage the legendary, then it'd run, wash rinse repeat! it took me less than 10 minutes. It was AWESOME!
7/10 Oh Prog Rock... you so crazy, it's a fun song and I totally get the feel of it, but I think there were better songs for the genre.

This is an Australian band - Karnivool covering an Australian artist - Gotye, I love this song so much, all I can think about lately.

And only because I had a dream last night that featured the entirety of this song I'm chucking in Book of Love by Peter Gabriel (some might recognise from the scrubs episode "My Finale") Feel free to ignore it icon_razz.gif

^^^ Oh ?oe?oe... you are most certainly right. We ain't ever gonna be happy.

As for Advance Wars person, Andy seems like an appropriate choice, Nice and average.

And I was reading on some other forums of cool characters that would be cool, so I'll add those too.

Among those are:
Midna+Fox Link
King K.Rool
Bowser Jr.
I'm annoyed at myself it took this long to click in my head. If at all possible, Razputin from Psychonauts would be a PERFECT addition, he's got everything you already need, his moves are already the exact style smash bros needs!
Also, it would be perfect advertisement for Psychonauts 2!!!!!

Alas, in a perfect world. But still, Raz would be perfect. Admit it.
Well I'm excited!...

!!!
Silver I only threw in there because he was in the background in Brawl, I pretty much put in that list everyone who was a possibly playable character who featured in Brawl anyway, as well as a few related characters.

I agree with Jarrod, except I like to play that way competitively with friends, Items were put in the game for a reason, using them effectively requires a certain amount of skill, and players have equal chance of getting lucky. The only thing about items I don't like is that Smash balls show up WAY too often to be special, it was pretty much a common easy insta-kill move.

But anyways, I love the chaos that smash bros gives, Organised chaos. I think it's alot more fun than the 'tourny' players who are all NO ITEMS, FOX ONLY, FINAL DESTINATION.

EDIT: Also, Dixie and Funky would be VERY welcome additions. Funky FUNKY! would be awesome. Maybe Kiddy too, I always liked Kiddy but i'm in the minority on that one.

EDIT: vvv I think one of those was called Novis, he was the bomb, had an awesome morph ball equivalent, turned into a bladed spinning top. Epic.

Anyway, i'm gonna add all these to the list!
