My UK copy of John Dies At The End just got dropped off by men in a white van

Big smiles. Anyone not familiar with the series, check it out.
Re: Bayonetta Review (3 years ago)
When I saw that 9.5 score I got a huge smile on my face. Cannot wait!
Re: Your newest purchase (3 years ago)
Modern Warfare 2 (360)
Tekken 6 Limited Edition (PS3)

Woo! No doing homework I should be doing for a while!
The whole video game censorship (or lackthereoff) and 'violent games are bad for children' thing is really annoying me lately.

I just hope people know how journalism and the media really works, and have good enough judgement not to succumb to the stupid hype.

so after i had absolutely NO interest in picking this up (well, i had some, but no real conviction) i somehow stumbled out of jb this arvo grasping a copy dazed and confused.

so i guess that means theres another ps3 user on here with a copy. looking forward to getting into it.
Great minds think alike? I did the same thing. Glad I did.

Aeskor on PSN if anyone's up for a game sometime.
Finished off Peacemaker the other day. Really rad.

Gotta get back into all my other millions of anime!

Went to a video store today and picked up a bunch of ex-rental PS1 and Sega games.

Considering they're ex-rental, they are in very good condition, the booklets and carts are all in excellent unmarked condition.

The other PS2/Xbox games were about $10 each.
You lucky, lucky motherbitch.

Borderlands was my latest purchase. Happy with it, for sure.
Borderlands for capturing me and reminding me what it means to be a gamer and have fun.
Getting all excited about the next weeks larger than average pay only to be reminded of money owed...

I won't buy this on principle. It should have been free.
The developers addressed that...

Anyone else on the Triniel server playing Asmodian who needs a friendly guild?
Re: Battlefield Heroes (3 years ago)
Great game I was loving until my computer decided it doesn't want to run it anymore...

Evil commando all the way. I think I have a compulsions, always choosing the stealth/sniper class in games lately.
Is there still that ridiculous jumping exploit? Dolphin jumping or something? Ruined it for me.
Re: Chamions Online (3 years ago)
My friend just got a 90 day free key thingo and doesn't want to play until the actual release so it's all mine until then.

Character customisation is insanely cool. I haven't had a real shot yet though. Looking forward to that.

Lol @ Running Aaron's. We had a resume submitted at work with the skill of "Running Erin's" haha.
That's hilarious. It's almost vital to have your resume read over (especially if you're that stupid)

I have a fear that something bad is going to happen on the 20Th of December 2012 (i think that's the day)

No offence, but I think that is stupid. The Mayan calendar ends on that day? Well, maybe they got bored of writing hundreds and hundreds of years of days, or maybe they died or something. I seriously doubt the world will end on that day, but I guess we will see.
The Mayans, on there calender, predicted that, September 11Th, 2003 (or 2004) that "Twin Towers" will fall. guess what happened.

Or maybe they did get bored. Who knows. I guess we will see for ourselves icon_biggrin.gif
They fell two years previously?

People have been predicting the end of the world and all this other 'half the world will be wiped out' bulltwang for many, many years and every time a date pops up, some people believe it and you know what happens? They wake up the next day, still alive, miserable they have a cupboard full of baked beans and water.
Like Y2K. Whatever became of that?

my biggest fear is dying alone. that and losing the people closest to me.

so pretty much, the thought of being alone scares me to no end. i guess this is why i try and be as loyal as i can to my friends and try and help them as much as i can, so i don't lose them.

ironically im alone on a Saturday night right now icon_confused.gif
I can relate. I get a horrible, sinking feeling in my gut whenever I think of the what-ifs of friends and family passing away.

RUNNING AARON'S!? - Sign me up! Oh... and a few errands would be nice too.
Morning people. 'Nuff said.

I think most people encounter the fear of failure at some point in their life.
Agreed. It's perfectly natural. Arguably, if you weren't afraid of failure you would do a lot of stupid things.
Some people, however, seem to take that fear to extraordinary levels, whether in life in general or specific activities (thus why I don't tend to dance etc.)

^ Im guessing that you're still on the first play through, just wait until you get to the final stages of Flower, without going into anything spoilery (could you even call it spoilery) i guess you could say that it does get hardcore. Now of course its no where near prototype/infamous levels but for the type of game that flower is, it does get mind blowingly awsome (but really from start to end it is to begin with).

As for what made me smile today, finishing off one of that last 2 exams that i have before this semester ends then it will be a nonstop of ride of sex drugs and rock n roll.

Plus looking back now I am smiling at an interesting converstation that I had with a door to door salesmen this morning while i was stressing out about my exam:

*Knock on door*
*Me stressed out quickly goes down stairs to see a guy standing there with a clipboard with some sort of water company logo, notice hes a d2d salesmen*
Guy: "Hello, are you interested in what terrible things you are drinking in your tap water"
Me: No.
*Close door*
I can't be the only person with a shred of empathy for these people, can I?
Sure their jobs suck, but they're probably more annoyed about that than you.
(Not having a go at you, by the way. I understand you were stressed)
It just seems people in those door-to-door, over-the-phone salespeople positions are seen as something parasitic and not human. A slither of politeness is all I ask, people. icon_razz.gif

And in keeping with the topic:

The security guard at work today was eerily funny. Picture an overweight man with a generally goofy expression prowling around the store like a spy.
He stood for about 10 minutes moving things around the shelf in order to see through to the other side, to the next aisle, at a guy who looked fine to me and as far as I know just wanted to peacefully get some Coke.
Another funnier instance-which creeped me and my friend out-was when he was peering through the rubber flaps that led to the store room at me and my friend who were simply just facing (neatening) the shelves up.
Tooooo many action movies, buddy.

Spiders (or even insects in general; don't trust 'em)
Needles, although I'm not 'scared' of them, per se, tend to make me almost pass out.
And one more phobia I never tell anyone about because it's easily exploitable (especially over the internet).
Re: Funny Links (3 years ago)

"Waggle Till You Shrug." - Genius haha

Never expected much of this port.
Hard to pick 5 so...:

Katamari series
Final Fantasy series (mostly X and XII)
God Hand
Dragon Quest VIII
Okami
Here's a list from what I can see on my floor at this moment. The list is a tiny fraction of the games I own, started, (loved) and never finished.

Dragon Quest VIII
Metal Gear Solid 2
Metal Gear Solid 3
Final Fantasy XII
Final Fantasy X-2
Okami
We Love Katamari
God Hand
The Red Star
Kingdom Hearts
DMC 3
Viewtiful Joe
I was largely uninterested in the game until that gameplay trailer. It's definitely a fresh take. I hope the story is just as fantastic.
I'll definitely be picking this up.
Lately:

Persona 4: My God. Such a terrific RPG. So much dialogue and cut scenes yet 0 boredom. Definitely going to pick up some other Persona games (or SMT games in general) after this.

We Love Katamari: I forgot how great this game was. It's so quirky and genuinely has great gameplay. Introducing it to my friend's brother was hilarious as he laughed and proclaimed it the best game ever.

God Hand: Also great to show your friends. Absolutely hair-tear-out hard, even on easy, but so great. Quirky, funny, offensive, addictive.

The Red Star: Bullet hell meets beat-em-up. Need I say more?

I forgot just how great the PS2 is. So many other games I have that I need to play too. Okami, DMC3: Special Edition, MGS2, FFXII, FFX, FFX-2, Viewtiful Joe, Dragon Quest 8.

Most of those are games I played and loved but lost interest in with my short attention span and love for achievements. As soon as the holidays hit BAM! 24 hour PS2 fests!
