Wonder why they previewed what will be the worst version of the three, I think this game will be pretty rocking on PC

It pains me that the Steam version only unlocks on Friday morning. I bought it on Steam in the hope that I might get it earlier because I could preload it and start playing the second it unlocks, but it unlocks a full day later than the game comes out in stores. And there's no sign of a preload on Australian Steam, although of course it's available on the US store (and theirs unlocks two days earlier, too). And now I don't get to look at the awesome box art of the disc version. And Steam says the game's soundtrack comes with the Digital Collector's Edition, but they're lying: you get 12 tracks with Steam, the full OST is 27 tracks. I really screwed myself over here.
Agreed, pretty disgusted with how we are being treated as customers who paid for the same thing as the Americans and we get screwed over in so many ways for totally arbitrary reasons. icon_redface.gif

A truly classic title, spent hundreds of hours playing it and its expansions. I played it on Xbox all those years ago but I ended up getting the PC version it's really worth it as there are a lot of mods out there that overhaul the graphics
Anything less than a 10 for one of the top 10 games of all time is a disgrace, hang your head in shame!

As a HARDCORE Fallout 1 and 2 player, i'm getting it Day 1!
I decided to try this game out and I must say i'm impressed so far, as an ex wow player who got tired of all the raiding/pve bullshit the pvp orientation of this game is a real fresh breath of air, and i'd argue that this approach to the game allows it to be far more casual friendly.

on your component cables did you flick the switch on them from 'tv' to 'hdtv'? that should do the trick then you should be able to change the display resolution to a higher one

Thank you for this thread, I am glad that there are others out there who have noticed the total BS of the reporting by the western media, which has painted Russia as a country that has started the war and that it is invading Georgia, when it was the Georgians who started it by trying to recapture South Ossetia from the seperatists, under some strange belief that they would be able to get away with it due to growing Georgian ties with US and NATO.

It is interesting how willing the western media was to frame the conflict in line with their own national interests, it is not surprising that countries such as Britain and the US have always seen Russia as an adverserial power and continue to do so, which is why they are using every diplomatic trick in the book they have to try and score a few points.
This gen 360, great games, great platform, got a PS3 too but my personal preference is towards the 360 for multiplatform titles.

Of all time, the Sega Saturn, what a great console!
Good graphics don't make a good Flashpoint game, the title will have to be launched with an excellent campaign, an amazing editor and support for addons and mods plus they will have to make the game as unforgiving and 'realistic' as the first title, something which I dont see transferring to consoles well.

I'm leaning towards Arma2 atm, but this is a definitely a title to look out for

CoD 2 is an amazing title, you should get it
I am guessing that it is probably cheaper to put 60gb hdd's in the 360 than 20gb now probably due to lowered demand for such a small capacity hdd. Anyways, smart move by MS, since it value adds to their console and regardless will spur extra sales at probably no extra cost
This game is shaping up to be one of my most anticipated titles of the year, the gameplay seems really indepth and reminds me a lot of Diablo, which in my eyes is a great thing.

I think those idiots on NeoGAF are going to get a shock when this game releases to favourable reviews and is not the 'worst game of all time' like they are making it out to be

Diablo 2 battlechest comes with the original diablo as well for anyone who's interested, can pick them up for $35 at EB games, comes with a strategy guide and manuals as well makes you feel like its the old days when games came with awesome extras without another $10 on top
I must admit after playing the Battlefield: Bad Company demo that this game really impressed me and that what was going to be an iffy purchase will probably turn into a definite one after this. I have bought all the Battlefield games on PC over the years so i'm not new to the series, but I do admit that I was not really interested in their latest outing, but after playing the demo I was extremely impressed by how good the single player campaign felt and played.

The immersion of the game is top notch (the heat of battle is extremely intense, the destructible environments the best in any game i've seen and all the gunfire and the explosions very impressive), the graphics are fantastic and the setting is also really cool as well.

Anyways, its been a while since i've been caught off guard by a demo, so I suggest that you guys check this one out and give it a go, you might be as impressed as I was.

Just a heads up that EB is actually offering a decent tradein price for MGS4 until tomorrow, at $105! so if you've finished MGS4 and dont see yourself playing it again for a while or will just buy the eventual re-release, now is a good time to offload it
