or
'Mamma Gamma' http://www.dafont.com/mamma-gamma.font
and definitely bump the text size up......and keep it horizontally aligned along the top...and centred.

Re: wii sensor has been damaged help (5 years ago)
EB has some 3rd Party sensor bars for cheap = ~ $30.
Most of them are wireless, and look pretty good from what I've seen.
It's definitely worth going wireless, because it gives you that little bit of extra flexibility.

Re: PS3 Lite & Slim? (5 years ago)
Looks fake, feels fake, is fake!
And! Why would Sony bring out a SLiM! model, not even a two years after they launched the original model. I know that Sony, has already changed their SKU's...what.....twice now....but why would they make a new model not 6 months after the last update. Makes no sense! But then again, It is SOny!

NAT issues in Halo 3 (5 years ago)
Please Help!
I have a Telstra Cable Router (Motorolla Surfboard), and for some reason it seems to limit my use of Xbox Live.
My particular problem is with Halo 3, because I cannot host/ join a game with one of friends (who has similar issues).
I followed the address that Bungie gives me, but It doesn't explain anything.
Has anyone else had something similar happen?
Any advice?

Re: gc playing on wii question! (help apreciated) (5 years ago)
Unfortunately, the Wii Classic Controller doesn't support Gamecube Game Playback, otherwise I'd recommend that.
I think Big W were flogging off Gamecube controllers (3rd Party) recently for pretty cheap ( ~ $20)....might be worth having a look.

According to Vooks.net.au (The only other PAL based Gaming Site I trust), Metroid Prime 3 is supposed to be hitting Aussie Stores on November 8th 2007.
They also reckoned that Mario Galaxy would be out on the 15th, but hey.....their prediction isn't too far off.

Re: Release date for Elite? (5 years ago)
Jim Dash - He's not right.
Microsoft unveiled elite as havin 120GB HDD.
IGN just did a preview and it shows the 120GB HDD on the top of the unit.
It is shipping in August to the UK....but when it comes out in Australia....Microsoft probably even dont know.
From what I've read...It looks really good.but not worth $800.
If its gonna cost that, I'll buy the Premium.

Re: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Review (5 years ago)
The game is average unless ur a huge potter fan.
I've played it on Wii and PS3, and the Wii version is superior in almost everyway except the Graphics, which are still not that bad.
The PS3 version running on a Sony Bravia Full HD 1080p LCD is awesome! Wii controls better, the wiimote actually feels like a wand.
The PS3 controls don't feel as natural, and there are a few framerate drops on both versions. Wii runs at around 30fps, PS3 a little higher....
Camera control is dodgy, and you can find yourself up against a corner, trapped by Ron and Hermione, who won't move to let u out.
All in all a good game if you can pick it up for under $70.

Re: VC to SD and WiiWare (5 years ago)
I think that using a HDD on Wii would be a 'different' experience, and I personally think Nintendo is trying to distance itself from Sony and Microsoft by not adding a HDD.
Also, How much space would the HDD come with?
Its a lot of money for the standalone HDD for 360, so what would it cost for the Wii, which doesnt have a slot for the HDD.
USB + HDD = Joke.

Re: Sega's Scott Steinberg sceptical of Wii (5 years ago)
Any controller that comes in a variety of colours, is comfortable for all ages and implements an anologue stick is great in my opinion.
It just so happens that the N64 controller is my all time favourite controller.
And on the wiimote.
Changing hands is hard work?!
Dudes and Dudettes it really isnt that hard to move your hand is it?
If it is call a doctor!
There is obviously something wrong that can probably be fixed.
The wiimote is the perfect controller for the wii.
Yes, I can empathise with the whole 1 and 2 buttons...they're a bit out of the way...but not completely.
Nintendo wouldn't have put it out in a mainstream market without it being perfect.
As to hating the N64 controller.
Thats your problem.
But it was one of the pioneering controllers in the gaming world...and it works perfectly for me...even to this day.
10 years after it came out.
What does that say about it?!
Yeah..thats all fine and well
except for the fact that Nintendo already had a profit of 70% before the release of the wii, infact even before core development stage.
The Next Next Gen gaming consoles will most likely feature Motion sensing and probably a pointer and Nintendo knows that if they want to keep their fanbase they will need new ideas to keep the audience captivated.
Nintendo will most likely add a full HD graphics card in the next 'Wii', with native support for all the shaders available and being planned for release.
We can also expect a huge boost in horsepower....probably running a dual core setup inside a small box.
The box itself will be sleak, the menu gui crisp and the game support, awesome.
This is of course coming off a victory in the current Next Gen Wars.
(Side Note: Nintendo has sold 8 million Wii's since November, Xbox 360 has sold 14 million since a year ago and PS3 has just hit 4 million)
This is where the fine line comes in...
Will Nintendo change their marketting strategy?
Is it all about the gaming, even in the future?
Will the extra HP and Graphics provide a deeper experience to play Mario and Zelda?
What will the future of gaming look like?
All these answers will be answered in time....but for now....lets debate future gaming!

I think Nintendo would have made enough profit to take the hardware up a few notches by the time next gen rolls around given that's the direction they want to take.

Re: Is Project Joystick playing you? (5 years ago)
Personally I'm a bit skeptical of the actual legalities involved.
Signing over your ideas for $20K in "Telstra Prizes" is a bit rich if your idea is good enough to sit in a top ten in Australia.
That would mean that your game idea is good and could perhaps be sold to someone better than Telstra for something better than "Telstra Prizes".
Yes...It is a long shot idea...but was has telstra contributed to gaming?!
Bigpond on demand doesn't count....
In my experience it has tainted gaming....Bigpond is a joke when you're trying to play online...
The plan that i have shapes your speed to 64kbps after 12GB of downloads!
That's a bit rich!

Re: Sega's Scott Steinberg sceptical of Wii (5 years ago)
In fact, the only four big games I'm looking forward to on the Wii are sequels to franchises. Only one (Mario Galaxy) can truly be called innovative, one's Metroid, and the other two (Fire Emblem and Smash Bros) don't even use the waggle-stick. - Cerebral
Hello Cerebal...You are a n00b.
So let me guess. You're an Xbox fanboy or perhaps Sony fangirl?
Did you happen to notice that Halo 3 is a franchise sequel.
Halo Wars is a franchise sequel.
Half Life 2 is a franchise sequel
GTA IV is a franchise sequel
How about PS3.
a general sweep of the games coming out are franchise sequels.
Is it just me or is a pattern emerging?!
oh and Smash Bros. doesnt use the "Waggle stick".
you lie!
check ur facts mate....Smash Bros. supports Wiimote, wiimote +nunchuck, Gamecube and Classic controllers.
So to sum up.
ur post was a waste of space!

Re: Sega's Scott Steinberg sceptical of Wii (5 years ago)
Well....It's been a while since i posted.
And the last time I did one of these....some people flamed me, others like S.Jaworski made me his friend. Needless to say I wasn't sure whether to do this again.
Let us begin the epic tale with a quote from Scott Steinberg himself.
"I am a little concerned about the creative depth of the Wii pool"
Well....Nintendo's obviously not. I'm obviously not. The millions of Nintendo's Fans obviously aren't worried.
Why?
Because Nintendo has so many innovative games coming out for the Wii and the DS this year and next year that Scott Steinberg has no basis to mention lack of creativity and Nintendo in the same sentance.
Another Quote I think.
"I'm not sure if they will top out in 2008 or 2007. The Wii will start to look really dated in a couple years when developers get more value from the 360 and learn more and more about the PlayStation 3"
Will the Wii look dated in a couple of years?
The Sega Saturn looked dated in a couple of months.....so did the Dreamcast, come to think of it.
Will the Wii in all its modern technological splendour really turn well....boring?
I don't think so.
I can't see that happening.
There is a general trend at the moment all over the WWW that Nintendo will release a 'Wii 2' in 3 years time.
Perhaps.
But lets look at Sony.
Sony said that the PS3 "will last for 10 years" as a console in the living room without the need to release a PS4.
Umm.....sure Sony. You keep believing that, cause the rest of the world arent.
So back to Wii.
A new Wii.
That would be great!
We could paint it Beige/ White.
Put a nice red spiral on it.
Make the controller nice and brick shaped for throwing at Nintendo Fanboy's.
Maybe Release it on the 10/10/10....
Maybe it could think! Lol
Perhaps even have Sonic as the number one mascot
(Maybe Mario could shine his shoes?!)
I can't see that happening....
Sorry Sega.
Its a shame...because I admire Sega. But they dropped out of the console race a long time ago.
What gives them the right to insult a product that is new, innovative and outsold Xbox 360 and PS3 combined last month?!
How much value can developers and creative folks get out of this wrist motion two years from now, or 5 years from now, or 10 years from now?" Steinberg questioned. "How can they design products that aren't too derivative of what's already out there?"
Lets just make a quick note.. right here..that companies like EA, Namco, Ubisoft and Sega themselves are producing games for Nintendo.
I don't see any of them jumping ship in the next 5 years.
Looking at Wii as "Oh, it only has Wrist motion...PFF! Sony has Xbox 360 controls and Wii controls...therfore its better!"
is shallow and close minded.
How can they design products that aren't too derivative of what's already out there?
this one got me going i have to admit.
How can a design product (Wii) that has never been done before be seen as 'old technology'?!
Go Figure!
.....Thanks for that Sega
and Scott Stonerberg..
You've just made my day.
Cause while your rotting away selling good games.
Nintendo will be up there sitting at number 1, by the end of the year...in both markets. Making.Awesome.Games
and building a fanbase for years to come!

I'm looking forward to online play in Smash bros.
Nintendo and HAL can really advance the series by incorporating online modes.
On the otherhand....metroid and online play?..
Some of you seem to have strong opinions, and of course that's your point of view.. but I think that It's most likely that it will be incorporated, hence the waiting time since E3 2006.
Whether that is a good thing???
Well...we'll find out eventually

My thoughts are that Metroid will be out August in Aus. and then Mario will be out in November/December and Smash Bros. will be out sooner rather than later, probably around June/July.
That gives a good spread with SSB, Metroid, Batallion Wars then Mario in one year!

Re: Ubisoft kingpin wants PS3 price drop (6 years ago)
The PS3 is far to expensive to warrant saving for at the moment.
I completely agree with Ubisoft.
There are simply no decent titles out for PS3 at the moment.
I played Motostorm and didn't like it that much, it was really hard to control and Resistance is a joke compared to Gears of War.
If Sony want to make a big impact they need to drop the price by at least $100 and bring out decent games (Metal Gear Solid; Final Fantasy etc.) ASAP.
I cant see that happening in the next few months.
If sony delays, they really will be screwed.
Nintendo already has plans to put out 3 HUGE games this year, plus others, and we can't forget Halo 3.
Sony also needs to redesign the PSP or release a brand new one, that seemlessly intergrates with the PS3.
Then they might be able to scrape 2nd place in the Console Wars.

Re: Zelda: OoT VC is a terrible port! (6 years ago)
I agree with xelim.
From what ive heard the Rumblepak wasn't added because there is no vibration sensors/ rumble! in the Classic Controller and the majority of titles on the VC don't have rumble capabilities . e.g NES, SNES, Sega Megadrive.
I also bought OoT and found the framerate lagged and it seemed slower than usual.
It also sucks when played on a Gamecube controller, the buttons are all in the wrong place!
I found it really annoying to do that cool circular swipe with links sword (Mental Blank on its proper name, sorry!) because the framerate dropped to I guess about 20fps.
Really annoying..... Hope they fix it.
Patch it or something

Re: Wii AND Best battery options (6 years ago)
Theres a charger that comes with two rechargeable batteries (Lithium Ion, I think).
Brand Name is Varta, Green colour scheme.
Takes 15 minutes (I kid you not) to charge two AA's
Charger itself is silver.
Only seen it at Big W.
Works Really Well! I can get about 20-30hrs of Wii Playing before recharging.

See the adaptor for the controller socket.
It's too curved, it wont plug into the wii socket.
If you want it for just Gamecube thats fine, because the contours on the front of the GC match the curve of the adaptor.
Colour scheme is a bit iffy!

I've played all the games, seen the movies and read the books, and I'm kind of intrigued with the whole control scheme.
I think I'll pick it up a few months after it comes out.
I'd rather have Mario and Smash Bros. first.
I'm looking forward to the 7th book more than the 5th game to tell the truth.

Re: Chasers War on Everything: Season 2 (6 years ago)
It was so classic!
They had the 'What have we learnt from History' segment and had the Chaser team dress up as Germans and Enter an Austrian Pub, to see If they would be stopped.
The funniest Part was when Andrew Hansen dressed as Hitler Enters the pub and remarks that he has been hiding here since 1945, german accent et al.
Also the 'Nutjob of the Week' segment was awesome.
It was on the book, the Secret, and how you had to visualize what you wanted if you were to get it.
Chas and Chris end up testing it and try visualizing a car parking space, in a full car park and ram their commodore into another car.

Re: Best Music clips ever created. (6 years ago)
My favourite is either Come Undone by Duran Duran or Shout by Tears For Fears.
Both are really good, but the Live 'Shout' on Youtube is AWESOME!

Wouldn't it be great if there was an episode with just comedians.
Tim Minchin and Hamish would be on Alan's team and Stephen and Frank Woodley would be on Myfs team.
Can you imagine them during the Final Countdown and Substitute!

Song: Come Undone
Artist: Duran Duran
Album: The Wedding Album
I love the Riff at the beginning and also the video clip (It's on youtube).
Very catchy song, been stuck in my head since December.
Give it a listen.
