If you really think about it, NES Zelda has more in common with Demon's Souls than it does modern Zelda
See, in my opinion there isn't that much of a difference between the 2d and 3d Zeldas. I think that the transition to OoT was fantastic. It was one of the best transitions from 2d to 3d. The only major difference since then is that there is more hand holding (which also means it is more linear).

I also think that Demon's Souls doesn't have much in common with Zelda except that you fight things and there are boss fights.

Also look at this thread. Nintendo can't win. You have people complaining that it isn't enough like the old Zeldas and you also have people complaining about how they don't innovate and cling to the old Zeldas.

Further, let's go to the numbers. 676 users have rated Ocarina of Time on Metacritic. Only 153 more have rated Skyward Sword. Now, just for some fun conjecture with numbers, if 676 of those Skyward Sword raters managed to get an average of 94, those remaining 153 users wouldn't be able to bring it down to a 78 average if they all rated 1. Funny thing about bell curves too - it's statistically highly improbable that 153 users rated the game 1
I don't think you understand how Metacritic user reviews work. The only people that bother to rate it either like the game and give it 90-100 or they hate it and give it a 1. I can easily see 153 people giving it a 1.

On the control issues, I had next to no problems. All the controls worked perfectly except the thrust on occasion. When my batteries were going flat I had some problems but they disappeared when I changed them. I have heard that a Wii remote with the Motion+ extension works differently to the Wii remote with it built in so that might be the original of some issues.

To people complaining about Fi, I've read multiple user reviews on Metacritic whining about the controls when it is obvious from reading it they were 'doing it wrong'. So many people skipped all of Fi's instructions because they already know what to do but don't. Then they blame the game.

Weaboos is a derogatory term describing a know-nothing loser who only lives and breaths jap anime/gaming and tries to show off how awesome they are by thier extensive knowledge of it. So no labelling admirers of japanese gaming and culture as weaboos is not accurate. There is alot more to the world for many fans of jap culture than just jap anime/games.Kinda like saying that every american is a know-nothing redneck. (tempting but not accurate)
You have no idea dude. Look up the history of the word. It was used for people that like anime and jrpgs on 4chan.
The menus may be great on the 360 but on the PC it is obvious that no effort was put into it.
I hope the bonus character and mission is for everyone who buys it new and not just the Collector's Edition.

the first awesome 3ds game. zelda and star fox dont count as they are rehashes.
What about Super Mario Land 3D that is coming out in 2 or 3 weeks?
Really? It isn't on the site so I just assumed it wasn't to be.

edit: Back from JB. The standard version was available for the 3for1 deal so yay.
I wish JB was doing the 3 for 1 trade in deal for Uncharted 3 icon_sad.gif
This actually looks really good. The story sounds much more interesting than XIII's and the character all seem to have grown up a bit. I just hope they learnt some lessons from XIII and the whole game isn't corridors. Having a more open game combined with that combat system and a good story will make a fantastic RPG but so many people will go into it with preconceived notions and hate it from the start no matter what they do.
Nice. Always like these games and I am a sucker for this type of fantasy story.
Spacebreak, look online to find out which seasons are filler and which aren't. Filler if you don't know are created when the anime catches up to the manga. The writers for the show make a new arc that is normally completely separate from the main story for a season before getting back to the main story.

And don't feel too bad about spoilers. The ending of Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 only aired in Japan a couple of months ago.
How can they get away with trying to sell this crap? Remastered and HD? Technically yea but it still looks awful. The polygons are massive.

Better this way; more time to release a polished product and it does not clash with other major releases (Star Wars MMORPG).
I think this is what Bioware was waiting for, either a reelase date or a dlay announcement for Diablo 3. Since Diablo was pushed back Bioware decided to release SWTOR. I imagine that there is a fairly large overlap of players, that a large percentage of Diablo fans were the original WoW fans that are also looking forward to Star Wars.
Woah Microsoft are finally integrating Kinect with controllers and other accessories?! That's a big deal. I thought Forza 4 was just going to be normal except it would have head tracking and other Kinect features as small bonuses but to have it fully is a big thing. It might actually get my dad to use his (Got it in January for his birthday because he wanted it so bad. Has played it 6 times lol)
They need to make a sequel for The World Ends With You already.

The one thing that looked good in this trailer was some of the different touch screen uses but I haven't played the DS one so I don't know if they're new or not
Looks fantastic. I love that second last screenshot, the one with the toads on the blocks. If you turn the 3D off, the blocks seem to be a completely different shape. It's a bit of a mindf*ck.
That was awesome.
Is that a typo or is Dark Souls out already (JBHIFI PS3)?

^^ Makes me think that it would be great if ALL planned DLC was included in collectors editions. Makes the investment for fans worth while whilst leaving the unsure to pay roughly the same as early adopters through a later download ensuring neither party is nickel and dimed.
It will never become the norm. Why would the publishers do it when they know that the hardcore fans who would purchase the collector's edition would also most likely buy the dlc anyway?
They will have to remake Deus Ex soon. There really isn't that much between this and then. There is probably only room for one game or so.

And honestly, Deus Ex really needs a makeover. If they redid it with this engine it would be awesome.
People who get clashing thumbs with the PS3 controller aren't holding it right. You don't hold it like a 360 controller. Use the top of the ball of your thumb instead of the bottom. Your thumbs shouldn't be able to touch.
There will be differences in story between this game and the existing ones. For one they are making him half demon/angel instead of half demon/human.

There could be many reasons why they decided to reboot the series like this. You keep saying why not call it something else but the game was designed from the ground up to be Devil May Cry. It will have a similar story, similar combat, similar characters etc. By rebooting/imagining it allows them to change bits and pieces while still retaining the core essence of the series.

Things need to be rebooted every now and then. Too often is bad but none gives you a bloated series stepping on its own toes. Were you as vehemently against Nolan's Batman movies because 'no-one could top Tim Bertons'? Are you against the Tomb Raider reboot?
Also reports are saying that Deus Ex: HR is region locked on the PC. In Europe, copies sold in the UK will only register with a Steam account from the UK. Same for Poland/Russia and then the rest of Europe is separate.
Its a re-imagining dude, calm the hell down. Capcom wanted them to create a different Dante. Apparently it took multiple tries for Capcom to approve the new design because it was too similar to the original Dante. And the character design is perfectly fine (I love British punk fashion though) and I'm sick of hearing people whine because he got a hair cut.

Do you have any problem with the game except for that you love the 1st and 3rd Devil May Cry (everyone hates 2 lol)?

Well, that was... short
I don't know what you were expecting but most TV commercials are 30-45 seconds long.
I thought the tech arm thing was just a hologram and that users had to wear a glove or get implants in their fingers to create physical feedback but now it seems that it is a sword....

I doubt it will be anything like the previous Counter Strikes if it is also being ported to consoles. Additionally, their official news releases states that the game is coming to 'next-gen' consoles, unfortunately, they are just using that marketing ploy and are applying it to 'current-gen' consoles. Pathetic.
Do you have anything to back up that or is it just pure instinct?

One of the people that visited Valve to playtest it answered some questions on Reddit. He said that it is very similar to CS:S gameplay mechanics wise. He also said there are a couple of new grenades (molotov cocktail that creates a fire that hurts to walk through), some new weapons etc. Most of the people were just whining about it being Source based instead of 1.6. So sick of 1.6 whiners. It's been 7 years. Get over it. Valve is never going to support 1.6 again.
So this will get rid of pausing completely I guess. I like pausing it, telling my team members to do stuff then working my abilities in with theirs. Now it will either be real time or completely AI I guess.

good news for sony never played sly cooper but infamous is an awesome series. joining sony will onlu help them much like insomniac, naughty dog etc.
Insomniac isn't a Sony studio. In fact they are releasing a game next year on the PS3 and 360. I think that Sony bought Sucker Punch because they might have thought that they would be the next to go multi-platform.
