Seyismyname reminds me of that Good Game episode where they showed off a guy's house that was full of video game memorabilia, I imagine thats what he lives in. Sey also reminds me of my own tendency to just keep buying games just to 'collect' them even though I may never play them. I think i've finally reached the point now where at one time I used to care about completing a collection but now I don't since.......well.......Sey is there to do it for all of us. I say we all encourage him to keep it up!

Re: Supanova (1 year ago)
Well todays the day (even though it technically started on friday). I'll be sporting a Mario cap and t-shirt as well as a rockin beard so if anyone wants to come up and poke me I'm fine with that. I might even post some pics if I get round to it.......
Re: Red Steel 2 (3 years ago)
With the game being released soon I thought it was high time this thread got an update. On Thursday the 18th of March I was fortunate enough to be invited by Ubisoft (through the help of PALGN of course, thanks Jeremy icon_razz.gif ) to have a playthrough of Red Steel 2. The copies of the game were full retail versions and from my impressions it has improved leaps and bounds from the first title. The controls, which were the main criticism of the first title, are great and flow well with the player's movements. I think the motionplus has realised the true potential the Red Steel franchise was aiming for. The graphics run smoothly on the Wii with the loading times being disguised by opening doors (ala Metroid Prime). The artwork is done in a cell shaded style which encaptulates the player's environment. The most important part is that the gameplay is fun. It opens with the player being dragged by rope on the back of a motorcycle. The protagonist freeds himself and the player takes control. The game is accessable as the path is usually highlighted and the map highlighted with a green arrow so it is hard to get lost. You make your way to a dojo where your sword skills are acquired and improved. Its also where you buy upgrades and take on missions, the main progression route through the game. It is very satisfying impaling an enemy with the sword. The boss battles were cool though a bit easy, just sidestep and attack though I'm sure they will be tougher later in the game. Overall this game seems to be building up to be a very enjoyable experience. I'd like to give a shout out to Owen and Anna from Ubisoft for the game time as well as the free pizza and drink.

Good to see the back of him. Hopefully a more rational individual will take over and we can all look forward to placing this absurd debate in the history books.
Thought I was too late to enter this. Hopefully my answer isn't too R18+ icon_wink.gif .
About God Damn Time! I've been waiting for this since the Wii was released (still a bit of fanboy in me).

*Longingly looks at pile of unplayed Wii games*
Good article Jeremy. I submitted mine a few weeks ago now.

Two words: WOW + THANKS! We had over 46,000 submissions for the R18 debate! Great work all! http://tinyurl.com/yght2yb

found that over twitter , guess that's where all the submissions are going
If that is true then R18+ is that much closer icon_biggrin.gif .
Re: Happy New Year PALGN (3 years ago)
Well its been a while since I've signed in but I'm extremely bored (and tired, yay hospitality, one of the only sectors to work through xmas and new year's). Anyways I plan on catching up with a few people and celebrating my bday in the new year. Also I need to catch up with this site once I get back home to a reliable internet connection.... icon_confused.gif . I wish everyone on PALGN a safe and gaming-filled 2010 icon_biggrin.gif .

To be frank Sexy Poker is simplistic, vulgar and an utter waste of money.
Sounds like my kind of game icon_drool.gif.

But seriously they had to edit it? In the US version they only strip down to bikinis (as shown in one of the pictures of the game). What the hell was changed? icon_confused.gif .

I'd like to see them make Star Wars Episode I, II and III in the same style of gameplay as the Original Trilogy games on the SNES.
And I thought I was the only one. If Capcom can do Megaman 9 the NES way surely Lucasarts can do this.
Re: My 21st. (3 years ago)

Google is your friend icon_wink.gif . Basically a chick only views you as a mate and nothing more.

Edit: Damn, red Theory's post too literally; him being Mr Pimp McCool and all. Shine on you crazy thing.
Considering I haven't checked the eminence website in what has been literally years this talk of ticket prices intrigued me........

Wow, what a jump.......but seeing all the international guests here must account for some of that price. If only we could convince more of these people to come to supanova or SMASH.

I hate you all...... god i wish this was in Brisbane icon_sad.gif ! Enjoy it NSW people ^^.
Hey! You guys have GenConOz with Robert Picardo (The FREAKIN Doctor!) and Sam Witwer (Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice).

To be honest though I find that Brisbane (and I guess QLD as a whole) has probably the most devoted pop culture fans in this country. Here in Sydney things are a bit more muted. I guess I wish I was around more crazy people icon_wink.gif *looks at time* Damn! Time for sleep! icon_dead.gif

Heh..bring on the one world government I say. Maybe then instead of massive military spending to wipe each other off the planet we'll put that money to good use like solving world hunger, cureing disease etc etc.

Question: How many games is that? I'm guessing over 175. Also what game/s would you think will be the hardest to get?
Watching the gameplay videos Charly posted up earlier I am suddenly looking forward to this game, great atmosphere and a "revision" of a classic game. Who could say no to that?

Were will my Rogue Squadron games come from now since Lucasarts seem to be focused on Clone Wars stuffage.
Your Gamecube or N64. I doubt we'll ever see the series brought back unfortunately.
I guess I should of mentioned the word "sequels" in my original post. Damn it Lucasarts this is a successful series! Make Rogue Squadron 4 damn it! icon_evil.gif
Well this just sucks. Were will my Rogue Squadron games come from now since Lucasarts seem to be focused on Clone Wars stuffage. How about a re-release with updated graphics? Shouldn't be to hard to implement.
I would also like to offer my apologies for not going for I had this thing called work. I guess it was lucky that there wasn't a night session since the weather turned to shit anyways. Ah well next time I guess.
Re: Happy Jedi Day! (4 years ago)
Woo! Party at the temple tonight! thats right jedi know how to get down and boogie
Well that was fun. Egg 7 you are a bastard. And thanks to jedi022's masterful use of the Force (aka random dumb luck) the Easter Bunny was saved from the ninjas. icon_biggrin.gif
Yeah Saturday I wouldn't be able to make it into the city until 5pm if I came straight from work. Sunday would be better for me but again I probably couldn't come in till 4pm. For me it would be dinner then drinking and/or LAN, bowling etc.
Being paid for work after not having a job for many years. Now I just have to resist spending it all in one go. Who am I kidding, I have an Ebay addiction!
A true classic. How about some kirby and smash bros Nintendo?

I win.
Heh, I got it brand new for FREE through devious means. I win more.

Though since we are talking about bargains which constitutes some price being paid I guess technically you win.
Ahhhh Street Fighter. I wonder if the trend will continue till next week (since everywhere I've looked its practically sold out; hurry up with those shipments Capcom!).
9000 huh? Hmmm pretty sure I'll be dead before I hit this number, I'll need some help increasing my post count.....*Zarnoss throws "Ads spam for Dummies" book at head*.......Ah this should help! icon_wink.gif
Cool podcast guys. Predictions huh? I predict new info on a f-zero or starfox game under production.

Was tempting to replace my launch phat model but $300 is too much. Hopefully it'll drop down to $200 in 12 months or so.
Ha, good luck with that. I'm still waiting for the Wii to drop its price icon_mad.gif .
