Re: Your newest purchase (1 year ago)
Seyismyname reminds me of that Good Game episode where they showed off a guy's house that was full of video game memorabilia, I imagine thats what he lives in. Sey also reminds me of my own tendency to just keep buying games just to 'collect' them even though I may never play them. I think i've finally reached the point now where at one time I used to care about completing a collection but now I don't since.......well.......Sey is there to do it for all of us. I say we all encourage him to keep it up!

Re: Supanova (1 year ago)
Well todays the day (even though it technically started on friday). I'll be sporting a Mario cap and t-shirt as well as a rockin beard so if anyone wants to come up and poke me I'm fine with that. I might even post some pics if I get round to it.......
Re: Red Steel 2 (3 years ago)
With the game being released soon I thought it was high time this thread got an update. On Thursday the 18th of March I was fortunate enough to be invited by Ubisoft (through the help of PALGN of course, thanks Jeremy
) to have a playthrough of Red Steel 2. The copies of the game were full retail versions and from my impressions it has improved leaps and bounds from the first title. The controls, which were the main criticism of the first title, are great and flow well with the player's movements. I think the motionplus has realised the true potential the Red Steel franchise was aiming for. The graphics run smoothly on the Wii with the loading times being disguised by opening doors (ala Metroid Prime). The artwork is done in a cell shaded style which encaptulates the player's environment. The most important part is that the gameplay is fun. It opens with the player being dragged by rope on the back of a motorcycle. The protagonist freeds himself and the player takes control. The game is accessable as the path is usually highlighted and the map highlighted with a green arrow so it is hard to get lost. You make your way to a dojo where your sword skills are acquired and improved. Its also where you buy upgrades and take on missions, the main progression route through the game. It is very satisfying impaling an enemy with the sword. The boss battles were cool though a bit easy, just sidestep and attack though I'm sure they will be tougher later in the game. Overall this game seems to be building up to be a very enjoyable experience. I'd like to give a shout out to Owen and Anna from Ubisoft for the game time as well as the free pizza and drink.

Good to see the back of him. Hopefully a more rational individual will take over and we can all look forward to placing this absurd debate in the history books.

Re: Happy New Year PALGN (3 years ago)
Well its been a while since I've signed in but I'm extremely bored (and tired, yay hospitality, one of the only sectors to work through xmas and new year's). Anyways I plan on catching up with a few people and celebrating my bday in the new year. Also I need to catch up with this site once I get back home to a reliable internet connection....
. I wish everyone on PALGN a safe and gaming-filled 2010

To be frank Sexy Poker is simplistic, vulgar and an utter waste of money.
But seriously they had to edit it? In the US version they only strip down to bikinis (as shown in one of the pictures of the game). What the hell was changed?

Considering I haven't checked the eminence website in what has been literally years this talk of ticket prices intrigued me........
Wow, what a jump.......but seeing all the international guests here must account for some of that price. If only we could convince more of these people to come to supanova or SMASH.
Hey! You guys have GenConOz with Robert Picardo (The FREAKIN Doctor!) and Sam Witwer (Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice).
To be honest though I find that Brisbane (and I guess QLD as a whole) has probably the most devoted pop culture fans in this country. Here in Sydney things are a bit more muted. I guess I wish I was around more crazy people
*looks at time* Damn! Time for sleep!

Watching the gameplay videos Charly posted up earlier I am suddenly looking forward to this game, great atmosphere and a "revision" of a classic game. Who could say no to that?

Well this just sucks. Were will my Rogue Squadron games come from now since Lucasarts seem to be focused on Clone Wars stuffage. How about a re-release with updated graphics? Shouldn't be to hard to implement.

Well that was fun. Egg 7 you are a bastard. And thanks to jedi022's masterful use of the Force (aka random dumb luck) the Easter Bunny was saved from the ninjas.
Re: Finished - Sydney Meat 2nd May!!! Discussions!!! (4 years ago)
Yeah Saturday I wouldn't be able to make it into the city until 5pm if I came straight from work. Sunday would be better for me but again I probably couldn't come in till 4pm. For me it would be dinner then drinking and/or LAN, bowling etc.
