^Apparently there's a fix/workaround you can use to continue the quest; read the last paragraph in the bugs section.
Have you checked if Sinding is still there? A lot of people have reported going back well after completing that quest and he was still in the Grotto.

A bit peeved with the 'Oblivion Walker' achievement/trophy in this game. Since even though I have completed all daedric quests, because I made one 'wrong' choice in one of the quests I didn't get a specific daedric item. This means if I want the trophy I'll have to start the whole game again...
They really should have just have given the trophy for completing the quests rather than doing them specifically how bethesda wanted, since that sort of ruins the whole idea of freedom this game promotes.

It's really not too much of a hassle though, as I figured I'll start a new game as a Khajit using magic/dagger combination and play the game in a completely different way to keep it fresh.
You didn't get the Skull of Corruption right? If so, you can actually still get the achievement.

During the "Ill Met By Moonlight" quest you can get two Daedric Artifacts, as long as you didn't kill Sinding as your choice. Check your items, if you have the Ring of Hircine it means you can get another artifact. Go back to Bloated Man's Grotto and Sinding should still be there, kill him and Hircine will reward you with the Saviour's Hide, this should get you your achievement.

I'm still only level 14.. about 18 hours into the game.. killed the first 2 dragons and then one after that. Struggling with finding people to sell my stuff to in order to raise my wealth over 5,000gp to buy the house so then I can just store my stuff. Whenever I find someone who is going to let me sell them gems, they don't have enough money to buy them all from me.. what kinda gem trader only has 100gp to their name??.
Go to Riften and join the Thieves Guild, there are a bunch of side missions that lead to special missions. Every time you complete a special mission (4 in total) the hub area gains a new merchant (max of 4) and fences gain more gold to barter with, up to a max of 4k gold on all fences. There's a fence located in every major hold of Skyrim (Solitude, Markarth, Whiterun and Windhelm).
Yeah I've had a couple quest glitches where if you've picked up a quest item before you start the quest, you either can't give the item to the quest giver at all, or it doesn't finish properly. Seems more like small issues with the Radiant AI system though. Only misc quests so nothing game breaking.

Regarding the bookcase issue, I read that Bethesda are addressing that in their next patch, so hopefully it works out for you guys.

Got in a drinking contest. Woke up in Rivendell except I was in the middle of the movie The Hangover.
That quest is probably my favourite so far, the twist ending is really cool. I want to say more but don't want to tempt anyone with a spoiler.
^I follow a couple rules, make sure to delete auto saves every now and then and when manually saving always create a new file. Just go back and delete old saves if you hit the limit. This generally minimises save game bloat, which every Elder Scrolls game has suffered from. Lag is inevitable with all the info that gets added to your save file.

I noticed the recent PS3 patch significantly shortens the amount of time persistent bodies remain in game. Just think, every enemy you kill leaves a body, the game saves all information regarding their placement and equipment left on them. This causes your save file to bloat, among other things, which in turn causes your game to slowly but surely lag more and more.

Even little things like if you search an enemies body, try to take all items and always sell them. Try not to store too much shit in your house and never, ever drop stuff. Dropping or putting items back in a dungeon chest or enemy body leaves them there for aaaaages. Basic rule: if you touch it, either use it or sell it. This way the game can cycle items out properly.
Got a cool kill animation last night, was bashing an ice dragons face in with my dual maces when I mounted its head out of nowhere. My character continued bashing it in the eye while trying to keep his balance, looked completely badass in my full Daedric set. The poor dragon finally just gave up and died.
A Night To Remember quest was pretty awesome, clearly inspired by the Hangover. Look for a dude named Sam in any of the major city inns.
^They capped your max armour rating to 85% in Oblivion, damage was uncapped, but vanilla Oblivion scaled weapons in a fairly stingy way. By that I mean giving you minor advancements through class and skill, limiting your potential. You could go into the editor and set damage and speed on particular weapons if you wanted.

You could break Oblivion with 100% chameleon or 100% magic resist, but the sheer numbers you can get on damage and defense in Skyrim is insane.
Anyone else noticed how you can completely break the game by combining Smithing, Enchanting and Alchemy? You can use Alchemy to brew a Fortify Enchant potion to boost enchanting, then enchant some armour or accessories to boost Alchemy, then go back and make an even stronger potion to boost Enchanting. So on so forth until you hit the max.

With your uber enchanting you make Fortify Smithing armor and accessories (29% each) and a Fortify Smithing potion (120%+). With your godly Smithing you can use the workbench or grinder to make Legendary armor and weapons with ridiculously high damage and defense. Kinda crazy how they didn't set a damage/defense limit.
The dog is invincible in combat, so he's extremely useful for tanking, but I finished his quest pretty quick cause you can't sneak with him (and for the Daedric artifact you get). You're a mage though so you may want to keep him.
Re: Battlefield 3 (1 year ago)
^Just sent you an invite dude, I just need to get the 2 stealth trophies, which are annoying to get with randoms who don't have mics. I'll help you with any trophies you need.
There was the Harley Quinn pregnancy test easter egg, combined with the song she sings during the end credits if you find it. Possible hints for the next game.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, during your first encounter with Harley in the church, right before you save the Doctors, she says something along the lines of "Mr J isn't feeling himself lately...well, he was earlier, but that's not what I meant." On my first playthrough I thought she was referring to Joker having just tried to kill you with the sniper rifle. After finding those easter eggs, I now understand what she really meant, haha.

The test is found in Jokers room at the end of the steel mill.

Re: Battlefield 3 (1 year ago)
If anyone gets the chance, go Assault (reasonably upgraded) with an Assault rifle of your choice, Underslung Rail attachment, and the M26 MASS shotgun in Gadget slot 1 (Dart rounds 1 hit at close range). You feel like such a badass with 2 weapons attached to each other.

Enter a street? Keep your assault rifle out. Enter an alley or corridor? Switch to your shotgun. Having it attached means you can use your scope and other attachments for both weapons, rather than just switching to your secondary. I like to use the IR Nightvision scope with the Tactical Flashlight combo.
Re: So, Trophies (1 year ago)
Got the Arkham City plat last night, took longer than expected, didn't realize you had to do all the side missions in New Game+ along with normal story mode.

I managed about 4-5 number 1s on the leaderboards for Catwoman and Robin challenge maps too, yeeeeaaaaaah.
^In regards to the ad comments on the previous page:

Fair enough if the guy wants to earn a little extra cash via ad revenue, but the Commonwealth ad is way too invasive. Tasteful ads that don't interfere with a persons browsing experience should be used.

There's some space below the quick reply box at the bottom of the page for another banner ad, or you could even copy Reddit and place ads in the form of a topic submission, where the first topic is always an ad which people can post on. I personally wouldn't have a problem with that depending on how it was implemented.

Either way, when an ad is placed, it should be on a trial basis to see what people think. Showing respect to your regulars is key.
^I've got the Animated Batman costume, so if I play through the story with that activated, Catwoman and Robin have their Animated costumes on too. It's pretty cool.

Maybe if you set them to their Animated costumes on the challenge screen, it'll change in story mode too.
^Dunno if you read all the back stories, but during the course of the game he escapes, the only inmate to do so. He's eventually recaptured during a shootout at his base of operations. You get this story from the insignia he leaves at the sewer grate right at the back wall in the industrial district. I noticed him at the start and was hoping he'd reappear at some point, but no dice.
Benza wrote
ok so I was planning on borrowing my mates copy of the game, but I'm not going to be able to play the catwoman bits is that right? Or I'm gonna have to pay to play em?

Man that's **** up.
If it's on PS3 just get your friends PSN details and download it onto your hard drive from his account, not sure how 360 works in that regard though.

Just a heads up to everyone, Killer Croc makes a nice little cameo, just found it then. If you've finished the game or you're near the end where you have to find Harley and the cure, go into the sewer access in the industrial district. You know the spot with the crane and the massive hole in the ground? You should have to hit a button to open a closed gate to continue (it's usually always open when you come through here earlier in the story). Walk through the sewers past this area, then go all the way back to that closed gate. You'll see the gate is closed again and you'll have to open it by throwing your remote batarang at the switch behind the metal bars. Watch the brief cutscene and enjoy!

Played for like 7 hours straight now with the Catwoman DLC installed.

Since restarting though I can't start the Zsasz side mission, I answered the phone but it hasn't rung since.....Any ideas?
The first call doesn't start the actual side mission, just an intro which gives you the trophy. You'll have to find a second ringing phone to actually start the mission. I forget the name of the area, but I found the second ringing phone in the south western district.

Edit: Your post was 3 days ago, I imagine you've figured it out by now, haha.
Deductions aren't that useful, offsets are where you get most of your withheld tax back come tax time. Deductions just change the amount payable for things that are based off a percentage of your taxable income.

Say your total taxable income is 20,000 dollars, but you made a donation of 500 dollars. You deduct that 500 dollars from the 20,000, giving you 19,500. Medicare Levy is 1.5% of your taxable income, so instead of paying $300 for the Levy you pay $292.50.

Most people my age will only be paying levy as they don't have an overly complicated tax return. So you'd be better off keeping the $500 as opposed to spending it and only saving $7.50 on your tax return. Of course, if you have a dependent spouse or similar, you're completely exempt from Medicare Levy, so deductions are absolutely pointless.

Don't take this as me saying NOT to donate, just don't think it's a way to magically give that money away only to get it back on your tax return.
Benza wrote
Yeah when you're still in the intro it's limited to you but once you finish that (Wich admitedly lasts a long time) you get pretty much free reign to go whever you want, without the whole "You get this third of the town, then in the next memory you get another third, then in the next memory you get the rest" thing that AC 1 has..
Actually dude, Karai is spot on. The bigger areas/cities like Florence and Venice are segmented into multiple sections (Venice has about 3-4 sections, Florence has about 4-5, the last 2 of which you don't get access to until the end of the game). The smaller areas like Tuscany and Romagna are immediately open to you, as there'd be no point in segmenting such small cities.
They can use base level hacks but can't use Facebook privacy settings? Lulwut?

You are pretty much spot on.

^Agreed, as everyone knows, they're looking to make a healthy profit on their consoles, so don't expect an uber leet console in terms of hardware.

In terms of timing, the Wii had it wrong, Ninty released a graphically inferior console while a graphically superior console was on the market, and look how well it did. At least they have the timing right this time, releasing early with an upgrade on PS3/360 will get them plenty of sales. Some people are yearning for the next best thing and this will fill the void.

Just don't expect it to be a gift from the Gods, nothing could meet those expectations, you're just setting yourself up to be let down. Stay optimistic and keep an eye open.

EDIT:
Game demos (but not necessarily confirmed games) shown:
Baseball game
Art utility (apparently sorta' like Mario Paint)
Wii Sports-style game
Zelda: Twilight Princess-style game
Wii Fit-style utility
Othello on the touchscreen
EA Sports Football title (undoubtedly Madden, though this was probably a given anyway)
"Battlefield-like shooter"
.
Confirmed games:
New Smash Bros. game (will supposedly interact with the just-announced 3DS Smash Bros. game)
New Super Mario Bros. Mii
Shield Pose
Galactic Fighters
Lego City Stories
Tekken
Assassin's Creed
Darksiders II
Dirt
Aliens: Colonial Marines
Metro Last Light
Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge

Keep in mind all footage shown was not running on Wii U hardware, and of the first party titles shown the trailers were just teasers/tech demos, nothing concrete at this time.

So, could this potentially mean that Wii U still has a chance of having better graphics than PS3/360?
If I were to speculate, then logically yes, what benefit would there be in releasing a graphically inferior console this late in the game? The real question is, how superior will it be?
Just a heads up guys, all footage of 3rd party games were running from 360/PS3/PC, all first party footage wasn't running on Wii U. Also, Battlefield 3 (and I'm guessing a lot of the other games) isn't being made for Wii U, it was just a montage of EA game footage to announce their support for Nintys new console. So basically, nothing solid regarding upcoming titles was revealed.
Re: L.A. Noire (2 years ago)
Oh just wondering, after reading about different compression on each console I thought you may have been playing on 360. I'm on PS3 also but never had any issues with frame rate.

I'm pretty sure you know the fast travel trick right? You saw my comment in the article thread.
Re: L.A. Noire (2 years ago)
Are you playing on 360 by any chance Cyph?
