Yes, I take full responsibility for stuffing up the screws, but no replacement parts available ? That's rubbish, I've read on other forums that Sony in the UK send out replacement 'caddys' for this exact problem.

btw if this was meant to be easy, Sony wouldn't have made the screws so tight, or any screws at all...
BEWARE:

Getting the screws out of the HHD 'caddy' is bloody impossible, I managed to get 1 out but the other screw heads are now ruined icon_sad.gif

Made a call to Sony (expecting I'd be able to get a replacement 'caddy' since it's a removal part, and considering that ability to swap HDD's is a widely promoted feature of the PS3) as was told there was a flat service fee of $399 and that the 'caddy' wasn't available as a spare part. So essentially I send my PS3 to Sony, pay them $399 and they'd send it back with 4 new screws and a new 'caddy' worth closer to $3.99 than $399.

Maybe it's just me (a PS3 owner since day 1) but this stinks. I'll be writing a strongly worded letter to Mr Ephraim, but in the mean time, does anyone know of a spare 'caddy' (eg a broken PS3 for spare parts) for sale?

The Xbox360 may use a proprietary HDD, but at least you can get the thing out....

I haven't been able to turn on my PS3 for a few weeks ... Can I still play MGO beta? I can't see it on the PSN store. I already have the Konami ID, but what do i do with it ??? HELP

I was supprised to see GT5 prologue in the charts, not because it didn't sell well, but because Gfk states that the PS3 games have to be over $60 to be included in the charts... GT5p has a RRP of $59.95 ????

^ don't think it was ever officially called MotorStorm 2 by sony in the trailer .. so i was expecting a different name.
^ I don't understand. the old updates are up, I change the first post to reflect the current store update as well as add a new post, so whether you look at the first or last Update post, it'll be current. Isn't that simple to follow? Yes a few of the first comments don't make sense because I decided to use this format after I started the thread.

I guess Sony wasn't that impressed with the sales of Heavenly Sword, it was a decent (if short) game but didn't really live up to the hype.

Sony has the F1 game licence. There doesn't appear to be a F1 '08 title in the works (F1 launch with the PS3 in Mar '07 and sold very well). Here's hoping that the final GT5 will include all F1 cars and circuits, and act as a default F1 game ...
^ Yes, the Ferrari F2007 F1 car is in the PAL version, it was seen at the recent Play.com event in London.
