Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2

Currently, the only shows I watch regularly are The Simpsons, Late Night Poker (Hah, what an awesome show), and the Thursday Night Cult Movie on SBS. Also, if there is a good movie on I'll watch that.

Re: Monkey Island (9 years ago)
Oops. A bit of trouble with a double post there. I don't mind the Star Wars games. With the amount they do release, quality titles do eventually slip through.
Re: Monkey Island (9 years ago)
This is what LucasArts said about cancelling Sam and Max: Freelance Police in their press release:

"After careful evaluation of current market place realities and underlying economic considerations, we've decided that this was not the appropriate time to launch a graphic adventure on the PC" says Mike Nelson, Acting General Manager and VP of Finance and Operations. There is currently no plan to reduce staff.

...So they shower the market with Star Wars games instead.
Re: Killer Instinct (9 years ago)
You can never know...Rare recently decided to dig up one of its oldest franchises, Sabre Wulf, and breathed new life into it for this generation. Killer Instinct or even Battletoads could be next.
Re: Monkey Island (9 years ago)
Curse of Monkey Island is my favourite game of the series as well. Being one of LucasArts' most popular franchises (aside from their movie licenses), there is good chance LucasArts will make another Monkey Island game. Just hope they don't do what they did to Sam and Max: Freelance Police.
I don't see how the next Perfect Dark will be a prequel, considering Perfect Dark on the GBC was a prequel based on the events of Joanna's training and leading right up to the N64 version. Unless of course Rare decide to cover that part of the story again, or go even further back...
I'm more concerned about what they make their "McApples" from. icon_confused.gif
Re: Cowboy Bebop (9 years ago)
Actually, a store in town has got the Cowboy Bebop Perfect Sessions for $AU120, which isn't too shabby. I've been eyeing that for a while, but I just need the money to get it.

After all the conversions and postage, it's probably still cheaper to purchase online, but I prefer to buy stuff locally if I can.
Hooray! icon_biggrin.gif

I wonder how long this offer for the Zelda Collector's Disc will last for...but more importantly, when will the offer start?
I'm not sure if it will make it here for the Easter Holidays, but Kill Bill Vol. 2 is definitely on my 'must see' list.
I've noticed I haven't bought as many games this generation, but I wouldn't blame that on the quality of games. For me it's probably due to the lack of income I once had, and that I'm spending the money I do get on DVDs instead.

Like many of you have said already, there have been plenty of great titles this generation of consoles. Some of my favourites are Super Smash Bros. Melee, Metroid Prime, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and Soul Calibur II.
Donkey Kong Country 2
StarCraft: Ghost

Not many, but my wallet will be happy to hear.
It also might be worth noting that in the latest Scribes update at www.rareware.com, in response to a letter saying the graphics of DKC look weak compared to the original, particularly through the Gameboy Player, the GBA team stated:

Quote
"DKC was made to be played on the GBA, the palettes were adjusted to suit the dark screen. We didn't get the GBA SP or the GB Player until after DKC was finished. As you will soon see, the palettes in DKC2 are much better suited to all systems."
I'm hoping for a flawless port this time.
Back in the day...

- Playing numerous Goldeneye multiplayer matches in Facility with Remote Mines. My friends and I once played a match to 350 kills, which went well over 3 hours.

- Completing Sonic 3 and Knuckles with a friend in a one night sitting. (I was Tails)

- Playing the Super Mario Bros. 3 Battle Game fanatically. This ate up a lot of my Saturday afternoons.

- In Donkey Kong Country, finding and memorising all the banana bunch locations using DK's Hand Slap in Jungle Hijinxs.
There is also the live-action Evangelion in production, with WETA Workshop behind the special effects. They've even released some concept art, making it less of a pipe dream...

My favourite 16-bit console was the SNES. The Donkey Kong Country series raised me as a gamer.
I haven't played many RPGs, but my favourites are Golden Sun and Baldur's Gate.
Re: Cowboy Bebop (9 years ago)
Ah, Cowboy Bebop. It's my favourite anime along with Neon Genesis Evangelion.

I've got the movie on DVD, as well as Best Sessions. Best Sessions is okay, but I was a bit disappointed one of my favourite sessions, 'Pierrot Le Fou', didn't make the cut. At least they included 'Ballad of Fallen Angels' though.
Re: Transformers Preview (9 years ago)
Judging from those screenshots, the game looks sweet. I think I'll feel a bit lost playing it though since it's based on Transformers Armada, which I don't follow at all.

Too bad we'll probably never see a Transformers game based on the original series. But there is always that game on Commodore 64...
Not at all. I consider online capabilities a bonus when it comes to consoles or games, but it has never influenced my decision of a purchase.
Hope that they don't stick some inflated price tag on it because it has a 'surf brand' label. icon_razz.gif
Re: Angry at games? (9 years ago)
I don't throw controllers, but I will occassionally swear at the game if it gets me angry.

I guess it is a safe move for a company to develop a sequel or a game based of a series - they come with an automatic fanbase, meaning easy sales.
