Re: Analysts: PS3 will win console race (6 years ago)
Well, if it's the Blue-ray vs HD-DVD argument that's going to bring sony ahead, i'll be first to say BS!
I had a play around with a samsung blue-ray player at JB HiFi and found it to have clunky and anoying menu's just like DVD has (sorry, but I find heaps of dvds that have stupid long Intro's just to get into the menu system, then you have to go into 4 differen't sub-menu's just to show one thing).
Using my HD-DVD add-on for the 360, once you skip the "HD-DVD commercial" the movie starts. Also, the interface itself feels much more "next-gen" against blue-ray. Just push up on your 360 remote and the menu system comes up along the bottom of the screen, the movie still plays, then you are able to change settings and goto scene selection, even special features, all while the movie is still the main focus on screen.
Again, you won't beable to understand once you've had a play around with both. I'm almost certian you'll pick HD-DVD as the better.
Also, just cause blue-ray made it to our shores before hd-dvd doesn't mean anything, look at beta max, same thing happened
As for the PS3, well, i'll get one for MGS4, that's about it. Unless it does come to xbox in the future, then I might not get it at all.

Re: Need for Speed: Carbon Review (6 years ago)
I think the game is cool. Although the gfx are PS2 standards (no pixel sharder effects at all which even the GC is capable of), the controls make it fun to play.
Re: Virtual Console titles updated (6 years ago)
Yeah, the only problem I have is with the 16:9 thing. Why should I always have to change settings of the TV with differen't games I play?
Xbox Live arcade games don't do that.
Guess I've been to used to next gen stuff. Anyway, I just hope they release a 60hz sonic in the future.

Were's sonic for the Wii. No where to be seen? Same with Metal Slug Anthology
Re: Reggie promises no Wii game drought (6 years ago)
Anyway, from the current PAL line-up, we will never see any cool wii games. Also, not everyone loves metroid and mario.
Re: Updated Australian release list, 18/12/06 (6 years ago)
Great, no Metal Slug Anthology for us Wii owners...
Hopfully freeloader comes out soon.

Re: Wii Launch title analysis (6 years ago)
I got a call from Toy's R Us today but missed it (I recognised the number). I picked "Need For Speed" so maybe it was about it not being avalible at launch.

I cannot stand that sort of jargon-laden PR talk from marketing men... yet I'm just over a semester away from finishing a commerce degree with a marketing major
