Is it because all Killer Instincts look like that?
Thanks for your genius comment, it was actually because mine was sealed with the identical seal mark along the bottom edge. icon_rolleyes.gif
That Killer Instinct looks a lot like the one I sold in a lot with 92 other boxed N64 games for $900 early this year.
Im sure many websites would actually have paid good money to have the amount of active trades that Palgn had....the demand itself is so hard to get and it's simply getting thrown away.....crazy.

I'm much in the same boat as rarecube, Game Exchange was the main reason I visited the website, been here over four years and I don't think I'll be around much longer now that it's gone.
Well thats a kick in the teeth, I was planning another big sale in the next few days but now it looks like I have no option but Ebay, which is sad as I always tended to price my games at least $10 cheaper on here as it would be quicker and avoid Ebay/Paypal fees.

Just because there are one or two dodgy traders doesn't mean it should be spoiled for everyone, I'm sure the majority of members here would agree with me. I have traded here for over four years and have never had any major troubles. Surely a private forum restricted to established members would have been a better idea?
I'd just hammer down and finish it, I just finished my last semester (last test was yesterday) doing four 300 level units and working 30 hours a week. Just think of the light at the end of the tunnel, that's what kept me going (I completed commerce accounting degree at Macq).

Definately do a mix of work and uni though, doing purely uni work does your head in otherwise.
Cashies run the other day.

Pokemon games were $70 for the lot of five from Salvos of all places - all original AUS PAL. They also had a boxed NES console with the gun and duck hunt for $100 which I decided not to get.

Everything else in the picture was from cashies.

PS1 games were $5 each
Xbox/PS2 games were $4 each
Gamegear games were $5 each
Nothing special about the Star Wars Racer edition really, just has the standard boxed N64 set inside a second larger outer box (I used to own that particular edition).
Just missed out some really rare Sega Mega Drive box sets on Ebay that went on a buy it now (missed out by 30 minutes), would have paid 3 times the amount they sold for, too. icon_sad.gif

Unlucky. icon_sad.gif

Melbourne CCs seem to be amazing. I know my CC in Rockdale is rubbish as they barely have any stock at all....
lol dude, all those massive purchases I made months ago were from CC Rockdale. icon_lol.gif

But yeah hasn't been anything good there in the months that followed.

BUT, this morning I randomly had the feedback "Very Happy With Seller Easy Sale & Postage Please Return Feedback" left on my Ebay account this morning, WTF?

What would you guys do in this situation? Send the parcel or not?

Also wanted to add - only had 3 auctions going at the one time that ended five days ago, so far I've had a no show for a pick up item, the person that hasnt contacted me at all that bought 2 identical Sega consoles (one mine) and this fool. It's not school holidays, either!!!
General assumption when dealing with buyers on eBay are that they mostly inherently lazy and prone to doing stupid things.

Obviously, this isn't the case but it's just a way of thought that should help to make you cautious as the seller.

Even though you've agreed to it, I wouldn't bother wtih COD. Who actually uses COD anyway? I'd be loathe to let Aus-retarded-Post act as any sort of middleman when they barely leave notification cards in your mail box half the time telling you your stuff actually arrived.

Still, I see the buyer as trying to complicate things. I'd just tell them to pay up normally and then just send it normal way.

Keep things simple.
I had only ever sent one package COD previously (which all went smoothly), but that was because the person said they were disabled and did not have access to online payment methods.

Definately decided something is not right with this buyer so I've told them I won't send the item COD and they will need to pay for it before I send it (they've bought about $500 worth of game consoles in the past few days from all over the world). Especially strange considering the whole reason they wouldn't pay me beforehand in the first place was because they had no funds left on their credit card!

Thanks anyhow for your input guys. icon_smile.gif
They're bought a fair few things, have good feedback for a few items for around $1 or $2 each (ie a keychain and a power cable), but no feedback in relation to anything over that amount.

Just the messages they were sending don't sound right, such as "I really want the item I guarantee you won't see it again" when I asked about the COD....

Another Ebay story.

Sold a PS2 network adapter the other day for $49. Received a message shortly after saying the buyer wanted me to send it COD as s/he 'had no funds left on their card to make payment through Paypal'.

I replied to this I may send it COD if they cover all fees but would prefer a money order or bank deposit as it would save a lot of money and hassle. Got a reply back saying that they will cover all COD fees.

Looked into it and it will cost the buyer an additional $20 in fees to get the item this way, and an additional $16 to me if the guy doesn't pick it up.

Replied back saying it doesnt make sense to pay $20 fees on a $49 item and that I will no longer send it COD due to the risk of it not being collected.

Awaiting reply...
Following up to this, received a message from the buyer assuring me what they do all of their Ebay purchases this way and that they will definately collect the COD parcel, so I reluctantly agreed to send it this way (I haven't sent it yet though - said to him I would do it Tuesday).

FFS, not my day today with Ebay.

Haven't heard from a buyer of my Sega Saturn console, just checked his Ebay activity and found out he bought a different console one day before he bought my one.

Re: Your newest purchase (2 years ago)
Far out that retro lot is crazy, like they've been in someones garage the past 15 years.
Sega Saturn.

I sold a package on Ebay and went through and tested every game for 5 mins on a Saturday night befoer I sold it, but the buyer on Ebay received it yesterday and informed me seven (!!) of the games he had were either not starting or freezing in the game play.

I know the Saturn is notorious for being very picky with the discs it reads, one scratch in the wrong place and the disc will never work properly again. No wonder Sega withdrew from the console market...
Re: Your newest purchase (2 years ago)

Goldeneye + controller was $35
NSMB was $10
Blue Wiimote (I've never even seen one before) was $15

Thank you Cash Converters. icon_wink.gif
Re: Your newest purchase (2 years ago)
Cashies run this morning:

Shame the pic turned out so blurry, crown jewel in that lot is Skies of Arcadia on GC. Lots of Saturn games in there, too.

Also decided to pick up the boxed 64 games I left last time that I didn't have. Shitty sport titles, but for $5 why not? icon_wink.gif
Jesus christ, I just took a look at Mario Party listings on Ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/MARIO-PARTY-2-/380315502652?pt=AU_PC_Video_Games_Games&hash=item588c92083c

^ Cart only, $301.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/MARIO-PARTY-2-NINTENDO-64-GAME-/250771916015?pt=AU_PC_Video_Games_Games&hash=item3a632bc4ef

^ Another cart only, $305

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Mario-Party-2-Nintendo-64-Manual-Game-RARE-PAL-N64-/180623550502?pt=AU_PC_Video_Games_Games&hash=item2a0e00a826

^ Cart only + manual, $321

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Mario-Party-3-N64-/320656060919?pt=AU_PC_Video_Games_Games&hash=item4aa89731f7

^ Mario Party 3 cart, $305

What really annoys me is that people see these listings and instantly think their Mario Party's are worth that much, not naming names but that member in the Game Exchange came to mind who thought a $50 offer on his MP 1 was 'low balling' when infact it was spot on.

And one of the Paper Mario's is now over $1000, LOL!

Mmm I duno about that.. icon_wink.gif

Sadly I missed out on a couple of good titles they also traded as they were being held for a woman before they were even released for sale (as she claimed she wanted them for her 2 year old son - I saw her 'wish list' and it included Harvest Moon 64 and Paper Mario, totally 2 year old appropriate gamse icon_lol.gif ). The games I missed out on (as I saw them under the counter) included Super Smash Bros, Legend of Zelda, DK 64, Banjo Kazooie and Diddy Kong Racing, all of which were in similar condition.

I also got the below games from 2 other cashies today. For some reason Mario Kart was priced at $1.99 so they sold it to me for that, lol...

^ Almost also got Super Mario Sunshine on GC from the same cashies, but a man asked the staff member if they had it in stock when I was holding it in my hand (unknown to him), so I decided to let him have it.

And finally this is just a better pic of the N64 games I got last week. icon_smile.gif

More to show next week - stay tuned. icon_smile.gif
Re: Your newest purchase (2 years ago)
^ Love how it's got 64 games with it exactly, nice purchase! icon_smile.gif
Re: Your newest purchase (2 years ago)
^ Haha okay I'll cave into the pressure.

Gamecube games were $3 each, N64 games between $2 and $5 each and everything in the Sega box between $2 and $3 each.

EDIT: Also wanted to add that everything I got was pawned by the same guy, no idea why he decided to sell everything to Cash Converters but there's even more stuff coming soon (!!)

awesome haul! you must really love Shark Tale icon_razz.gif
Hahaha, I got them on the first day they came out on display, and cos there was a few people snooping around I decided to just go ahead and buy the whole lot.

And if you think 5 copies of Shark Tale was bad, in that lot I also got 7 copies of Catwoman, all of which are still sealed. icon_lol.gif
Re: Your newest purchase (2 years ago)

Approx 244 Australian PAL Game Cube games, roughly 20 still sealed

Roughly 30 N64/SNES games, 5 or so still sealed

Roughly 50 assorted Sega games

All from Cash Converters (!!) Took a solid 2 - 3 days to remove the stickers from everything.
Re: retrogames.com.au (2 years ago)
Im not sure if he's still there or not, he strangely has 2 almost identical youtube videos filmed by different people filming around his store uploaded last month tho...

A total of $free dollars for the above.
Curiousity getting the better of me, how did you get/find them?

I've found a SNES and a Sega Mega Drive in 2 seperate clean ups once, and got 4 boxed 32x games off Gumtree for free but not quite as impressive as that, lol.
^ Correct, they are definately not region locked
Been looking for a cheap manual run around with a bit of rego for a few months now, and one was finally listed for sale at 11:30am today, got to the dealer 1:00pm and he had just sold it.

WTF!!!

Something is seriously wrong with the car market in Sydney, every cheap car I can find is a bloody automatic.
