I'm guessing it's just a HD port of the Wii game.

I think there's too many headaches with who owns the rights to the original game for them to be porting the N64 classic directly.
I really hope they add some regional areas, I loved cruising through those on a dirtbike and finding little towns in San Andreas. I'd be happy if they made the map up of 2 cities (Maybe Vice City and Los Santos?) with a pile of country inbetween.
I think the next Zelda game should be set inside Robin Williams' beard.
I might get up for the Nintendo one but it's likely I'll just get out of bed half an hour earlier than my usual time (damn working life) to read all the convenient summaries of the events.
They better not delay Skyward Sword to put it on the new console.

This thing better upscale original Wii games too.
Is that mean to be Sonic Junior or the Megadrive version of Sonic?

I wish they would clearly state in these trailers if the game was going to be 2D or 3D
The catchoftheday deal has now been and gone. The thing sold out instantly, I got as far as logging into paypal but then the cotd server crashed and I couldn't get any further.

Looks like it's off to JB tomorrow!
I tried the 3DS today, I had real issues with OOT I kept seeing double and it took a lot of concentration before I could see the 3D but then I'd lose it very easily. RE:Mercenaries and Street Fighter I didn't have as much trouble but there was still blurriness.

I don't think my eyes and 3D get along very well.
I really hope they don't make an altered version for us, we need games to not make it here at all to highlight how unfair the system is.

Make my dream come true Nintendo and gimme a New Play Control! Wind Waker in widescreen (and with extra dungeons while I'm here making wishes) as a 25th anniversary present.
Hopefully they've fixed Hyrule Castle Town so it's no longer a pre-rendered blurry mess.
Wow a Mario game with question mark blocks, goombas and coins! If it's not set in space like Galaxy I hope it at least retains some of the crazy gravity elements.
No fatality is a match for our stupid ratings system.
I was going for the PS3 version anyway because of the bonus Steam version but this just makes it even better!
I hope it's in a new city this time.

I bought the DS version, it's bascially Sonic Rush 3 which isn't necessarily a bad thing, the game has its flaws but is enjoyable.
I think it's basically the Snes Allstars cartridge on a Wii Disc

Yeah I've finally gotten home to test it out. The sixaxis is a better choice than the dualshock because it's a whole lot lighter to hold in one hand!

Currently installing the demos (what it can't run a demo from the disk?) so far I've tried:

Sports Champions - worked fine, seems very accurate
Eyepet - I had some configuration problems but I think it's because the lighting in my living room is crappy
Tiger Woods - Plays a lot like the Wii version of PGA Tour 10 but it doesn't look like crap!

Now I'm installing the rest of the demos all at once to try them, then I'll give Heavy Rain a go.

I caved and grabbed the starter pack for $68 today.

Googling around I'm reading articles from back in June stating that you can use a dual shock as a Nav controller, but I haven't heard anything on that recently.

Can anyone with a Move confirm if you can? I won't be able to test it out until tonight but it would be great if I didn't have to fork out for the Nav controller straight away. I'm assuming that Heavy Rain will require one.

It's tempting to pick one up, but apart from making Heavy Rain (and maybe RE5 which I still need to buy) control better there's nothing on it that I can justify the cost with, especially when you add in the extras like the Nav controller and an extra Move+Nav, you could end up spending close to $300 before you've even bought a game for the damn thing.

When there's more games and a better price or package deals I might pick one up at a later date.
Can't wait, although I hope it's in a new city this time or the old one is drastically expanded and altered

I really want a Mario or Zelda game to appear with this on release because from what I've seen so far there's not a "me wantee" game I want to buy the system for.

I'll probably still get one at launch though.
I'll probably buy one. My old Megadrive controllers are busted and it'd be nice to hook it up through the AV plugs rather than tuning it in through the ariel whenever I go through a retro stage.
ahhh the sweet moment where you almost think a modern Sonic game will be good.
I still have the original PSP 1000. I like the idea of the GO in theory, but there's some things which will hold me back.

1) Price - $450 is ridiculous, I think I paid $400 for my original and it came with Ridge Racer
2) No announcement as to how we'd get digital copies of our UMD games without rebuying all of our games
3) We'd be trapped into only buying digital copies of games for the price that Sony wants to sell them. Quite often I pick up PSP games in the $25 pile at JB when there's a sale on


So I won't be buying one at this stage. I'd like the smaller unit with faster loading times and (hopefully) better battery life but at the moment if I wanted to upgrade I'd prefer to get the PSP 3000 and a bigass memory stick so I can have the best of both worlds.
I've changed my settings to lefty so it's all good, I'm just not very good at golf!

It's just odd that I'm left handed at golf and nothing else, it's been that way all my life.
I grabbed this from Big W yesterday ($78 bundle)

I quite like it but I'm awful at it. I tried advanced swing for a while and the commentators were going to town on me "That shot doesn't look good", "He's headed for the beach", "Not a good putt at all..." and on my first hole I exceeded the shot limit!
Now I'm using the "All Play" swing but my shoulder started hurting so I stopped. I'll give it another shot tonight.

It's strange, golf is the only thing I'm left handed at.
Mine is finally back 24 days after sending it.

It's not my original Elite though, I tried to play an installed game to test and it said I'd have to reinstall it because it would only work on the original console it was installed on. Plus the disc drive looks different, it's quieter and the little discreet mark I left on the one I sent in was not on this one.

As long as it works though...

Now I'm not sure if it's a different console.

It has the same serial number and manufacture date and my arcade games work without having to sign in, it's just installed games its whinging about and the disc drive looking different (or maybe I'm going mad!). Maybe they replaced the innards completely and kept the serial number but the MAC address or something changed which has thrown off the installed games...
