Thanks Tina, shame that you're leaving like this.

I'll see you at the meet on the weekend.
She's moving on the weekend... so no Tina gracing games day...

I'll put something in up for next month though, to try to get everyone to join.
Will let you know of any future events planned with/without the forum involvement for a time to catch up icon_smile.gif

^This is in-line with the rules that we currently have however, so you losing modship over this would be silly.
Crazier things have happened icon_wink.gif
So I'm guessing I was demoted from being a moderator, simply for enforcing the rules of the forum and permanently banning FalconDude again?

I'm fairly sure my posts, +s and -s have been basically in neutral standing since this whole issue began, but hey if there's a issue you have with me personally, I would like to know what it is.
Stranglehold $9
Double Fine Kickstarter $35

slowly spending less and less each week on games... gotta start saving money icon_sad.gif
Facebook does wonderful things for thinking "oh what's pod up to these days"... and it looks like you're in Japan quite often or travelling, lucky bustard icon_razz.gif

But as has been, with all the communities we've both been at, we'll comment once in a while one something... or get together for old memories...

Just remembered http://palgn.com.au/6966/palgns-5th-anniversary-celebration/ now too
Design staff will do though as a mention icon_razz.gif
Just a bump and minor hijack, to get people reminded for next week. Also after party sounds like in order possibly (sorry again about the hijack Freddy and Tina).
Re: Coffee (1 year ago)
Go through my fair share of coffee pretty much all times of day, although now trying to cut out on buying it outside (saving money/usually find the milk used in coffee is often out too long and makes me sick, so sometimes just have short or long black).

Also parents own/operate a coffee shop too... so making your own Coffee sure beats what most people serve. Found piazza d'oro to be the best flavour and strength for myself, a lot of places use beans that only have a strong bitterness to them.
A bit late I know, but if I was looking at a budget case right now, I would probably go with this Lancool (Lian Li) model.

Having all the fans available in a case is nice and all, but also efficiently using the right amount of hardware and focusing airflow is important too.

Basically get away fine with two - three case fans on my overclocked I7 setups, usually 1-2x front intake and one rear exhaust will be enough for most people (as long as good quality fans are chosen).
Most likely will be there icon_smile.gif

Been a while since I've last been to Norita now that I think about it.
Congratulations Theory.

And post counts are.... useless half the time anyway (I am at way too many places, that I think transferring the numbers across is cheating icon_razz.gif)
well, that's weird...

people came back and it wasn't MIA thread 1 or MIA thread 2
I would expect pricing to drop to $600 in the coming weeks... and by arrival of 7990, should hopefully be less than $500 for the 7970, but hard to say really with regards to how stock levels will remain.
^Low supplies at the moment, since not on sale for another day or two as well.

Should lower down over the next month or so, just as most hardware launches do.
Re: My Resignation (1 year ago)
Thanks for all the work that was done icon_smile.gif

Should go for another drink sometime, with everyone else. We can also call it a meet.
Good game, although a few puzzles are more tedious (way too many moves/considerations compared to previous games).

Took about ~25hrs to finish all up, without touching London Life.
Another for PCCG (pccasegear).

Also use ijk.com.au and had great experiences with them (same day delivery on some occasions, got a 2600K when it was first launched in Australia... ordered at like 1pm, got my CPU delivered at 4pm).

Unfortunately, minor damage to the corners of the Zelda posters since it looks like the posters were flung around a bit inside the shipping carton icon_sad.gif
That sucks, Mine where shipping in a cardboard cylinder, so there where no corner damages. Actually I was kinda surprised with how quickly and in good shape they got here. I should have ordered that kirby pouch, too, but I have to do those damned surveys.
Was actually in the cardboard cylinder (couldn't think of the exact naming of it), but was some looseness in that the height of the cylinder was about 15cm too high.

Looking at the amount of points I've now stocked up on, I would almost consider myself in an addiction phase, hopefully there's more goodies to come that will justify my hoarding of games.
Might pick up a 7970 once custom boards are available, overclocking performance looks quite nice on these chips (high mem/core overclock looks to be closing in on a 3GB GTX 580 SLI in some games).
It would matter more if you're doing transfers over wireless between computers. Transferring at 1MBs over wireless to another machine is painful (heck, even at 10MBs on a 100mbit connection is painful... wish we had gigabit installed throughout the house).

We don't even have the classic SNES controller here! Rage!
We did for a while, got one when they had em
Annoyed I didn't have enough points at the time to get it.

Now have plenty of points, and got the Zelda posters and Kirby pouch delivered.

I mean if you like the Mario Galxay games why not say Yoshiaki Koizumi?
Responsible for the 3 day system in Majoras Mask, Super Mario Galxay, DK Jungle Beat etc.
Now this is a man who needs to get more publicity than he's getting at the moment.
Agreed, looking through the list of games he's been involved heavily in, probably his 'weakest' is Super Mario Sunshine (and I say that as a good thing, I enjoyed the game a lot).

Quite difficult to actually think of other designers, than the standard Miyamoto/Naka etc. that have been in more overseeing roles as of late, and agree with the general difficult attribution of a game's design to anyone person from various studios.

I could have sworn I saw Crush 3D at EB the other day.
Can back this up.. although, may have just been temporary/pre-order boxes, I didn't look too closely.
Re: Humble Bundle IV! (1 year ago)
Already bought quite a few of the games already... but bought the pack anyway, to go to a worthy cause (devs and charities).

Now to get time to play all these games >_>
Enjoyable due to the stars and action. Not even going to bother thinking of / knowing of a plot.
Congratulations on hitting 3K Tina!
Finished main + most of the extended content.

Need about 3 coins, and a dozen or so yellow flags (granted, not going to finish with both Mario and Luigi for a while). Enjoyed it thoroughly, but some of the later timed levels.... hell.... think I lost about 60 lives in the space of two hours on a few levels, because I didn't go in with the right power ups and was determined to finish without them.
If you have someone that can assist, it would be worth re-applying thermal paste + reseating the heatsink on the CPU, but it's one of the more... frustrating things with a Intel CPU and stock cooler.
Disappointment: Halo 2, going through the E3 and gameplay trailers before hand, was extremely hyped up... and we got something that didn't quite add to that excitement. I'm probably being harsh, but it's basically what's started me on a media blackout of games in terms of excessive gameplay footage.
