Pity they will not work on current players.
^Me too. (had it since the good old days of 1.5)

That seems to be the only thing i use it for (and divx)
Re: Ninja Gaiden Sigma (5 years ago)
It will take Sony a while before there online server is anything great. (it took M$ 5 years, and they are Microsoft)

And yeah 20v20 is way to much over kill.

also with blu-ray they are working on making it multilayered so we could be seeing entire box sets on just one disc in hd, hd-dvd are probably doing the same but i havent heard of it yet.
Hd-dvd can hold more layers than blu-ray

And the need for bigger storage space is to reduce compression (not fit entore season on a disc)
Re: Ninja Gaiden Sigma (5 years ago)
I actually finally just finished it on xbox. But yeah i would say get it on ps3 if you have not played it.

But wait for the US version (as you do not want it censored)

It would bee cool playing as Ratchel.
You don't seem to understand. But the actual quality difference is not that huge a jump. Yes i am not saying it does not look better (as it does). But it is not an OMG jump.
They are actually only legal if they are not using any of the companies code (code must be written from scratch)

Actually if the chip allows running of back-ups and total freedom of the unit it is still legal provided the chip is written from scratch. And every system is different.
Re: Faulty DS Screen (5 years ago)
Yeah you are looking at about a month for it to return to you.

Make sure you get the retailer who you bought it from to send it (saves you postage cost, though not sure if stores like myer, target etc would send it)
Lucas said eventually.

But knowing that tight ass he will release a 6 box set on dvd. Then in a few years he will release every film individually on blu-ray/hd-dvd, then a box set.

He had not said what format it would be released on. Just that it would come one day.

I'd wait for the 65mm CPUs to begin rolling out before dropping the dollars on a 360 at this stage, the smaller processor will reduce the heat of the system, which is what's believed to be the cause of the components solder cracking and other red-ring causes.

Once the new CPU models do roll out however, you will not be able to tell the difference externally from what I hear, so it will still be luck of the draw. I'd recommend asking retailers for stock from the most recent delivery at the time of purchase.
Yes you will. By the Serial Numbers. And you can push the flap on the 360 box to check the consoles number.
Yeah but how many people have amps/receivers that can decode dolby hd, or True dts.

That is an upside having that; And the acutal jump from say 6.1 - 7.1 is not that huge (unless you are using Rotel, Paradimes, Galleos etc)

But when comparing Blu-ray or Hd-dvd to dvd, you must take into account upscaling. As pretty much all Blu-ray players upscale (and i think most hd-dvd players do as well).
The actual picture quality is not THAT much greater. Yes it is an improvement, but nothing like the jump from vhs to dvd.

Reading the article; he said last week was the only week so far that it did not outsell. (me seems to think that was the week people started loosing interest.)
If Sony was to legally be able to lock-up systems it would show that a company has special rights over individuals.

It is there responsibility as a company to write better code so that people cannot pirate games. As a lock-up systems is not justified, as like jibbs said even if it is only 0.000000001% of people who don't use it illegally; then they have the right to do whatever they want to the system.

If Sony did not want downgrades in the first place, then they should not have started working on an official downgrader. And it is my understanding that at first Sony were saying how you can use the psp like a PC (Freedom to install whatever you want)

ohh and ittekimasu prior to this downgrader you could use the exploit in the unpatched version of gta LCS to downgrade 3.03
I do not see a lockup as "justified". People have the right to be allowed to run the system at whatever firmware they want. (regardless of what they are using it for)

I say Sony should completely lock up the PSP if you were to downgrade or alter its Flash in any way. And with their own updates, have a unique key or something that allows an update.

I'm a homebrew user but I'm probably going back to the Normal PSP firmwares. Homebrew is starting to bore me.
It would be illegal for them to do a lock up of the psp. As downgrading is not illegal in anyway (Sony were actually making an official downgrader, but it got canned. And a lock up would bring way to many lawsuits) Wait why would you go back to normal firmware if homebrew bores you. There is no advantage to going back to a normal firmware. Unless you are just using 1.5 (in which case you should go to 3.40 OE-C, that way you have howmbrew and can play all games)
Re: My DS Lite Mod (5 years ago)
It is just a piece of plastic.

Remove the screws and pull it off
Sony are making so many updates mainly for security. It is exactly like the psp (a new firmware ever 2 weeks)
Yeah i have heard that if you become a citizen in another country, provided you don't return to your original country than you should not have to pay it.,
Dark_Alex just recently said that he was working on 3.50 OE-C and that it should be out soon.

And Sony must be cut right now LOL.
Re: My DS Lite Mod (5 years ago)
5-10 minutes. It is not very hard at all.
Re: My DS Lite Mod (5 years ago)
More pics as requested.

At first we changed the L & R buttons, but it looked way better the way it is now so we changed them back.

Re: My DS Lite Mod (5 years ago)
Yeah it is not much of a mod. (may change the buttons and the top inside)

Though i am seriously thinking about putting a design on the top (stenciling)
Re: My DS Lite Mod (5 years ago)
We were going to swap the buttons and the top (inside part) But the only thing is to do both i would have had to disconnect the mother board and both screens

And I did not want to fuck my mates so i just swapped the bottoms.
My DS Lite Mod (5 years ago)
Hey guys i finally decided to mod my DS lite. My mate came over and we swapped the bottoms. A very simple mod, but it looks cool.

What do you guys think.

But crest the actual quality, and re-release of early blu-ray/hd-dvd films will be better within the next few years.

That is the main reasons i did not rush to buy a player. Just doesn't do much for me atm. (though i seriously considered getting a blu-ray player for rocky 1-6 and rambo) LOL
Yes but it is like dvd.

The first quality dvd's were shit in comparisons to new ones (cameras, and the actual method used to convert the film into that format)

So untill the difference is getting close to vhs-dvd i will not waste my money (unless the blu-ray/hd-dvd movies drop to the dvd prices, then i will buy them)
Until there is a major difference between HD movies and upscaled dvd's i am not fussed..

Not worth paying $40+ for a movie that looks only slightly better than dvd upscaled.
Actually n64 did start well but it died out.

Which goes to show how easy a markets love for a company can die. And we have already seen many developers jump ship from the ps3... Including to a certain extent square.
Re: Blu-ray VS HD-DVD (5 years ago)
Blu-ray is selling like SHIT. As is HD-DVD

Both formats are performing so pathetically.

50,000 Units for the best selling film. That is horrible. DVD's selling millions for average films.

Currently both formats are selling terrible, and to say otherwise is just plain old stupid

Ohh and i doubt neither formats will win...... My money is on HD-VMD

Blu-Ray players just went under the price of the PS3 in May, so people are buying PS3s for playing games.
Could be quite varied there, like how much cheaper is the Blu-ray player?

And what if Blu-ray had nothing to do with it. Maybe there are just people that don't give a crap about Blu-ray and want games. After all the PS2 was the 100+ million console. It can be assumed by people the PS3 will win.
And about %92 of people do not give a flying fuck about blu-ray (and it's popularity wont be going up anytime soon)

UMM NES and SNES sold over 80 million each..... did N64 win???? That is by far the worst argument i have ever heard. A market does not care for a bad product, regardless of how good it's predecessor is.
